4. Tired of seeing biases screwing over a guy like Schilling. Glad Edgar got over the DH hump. Maybe a Rockie finally gets in next year?

It's a shame. Larry Walker and Todd Helton. Interesting stat was brought up today on MLB Radio. They used Ryne Sandberg as the comparison for whatever reason, OPS for his career was .796 while Todd Helton's away OPS was .855. Just a weird congratulatory pat on the back at this point and whether or not they will allow them into their special club. AlsoI think Mariano had to be the first and would have been Jeter if he had retired before Mariano. Popularity contest.

The fact the writers won’t put in Schilling because of his politics is utter bullshite

It really is.

If Mussina is a HOF, then Schilling certainly is.

The fact that Bonds has a significantly higher score in his first half, Than his roid years is just a joke.

He was great before, no one is disputing that, but steroid bonds was the single most dominant baseball player anyone of us will ever see play.

Huh? He was hanging, 8+ WAR every season for a decade when he started, then he put up a 4, then the steroid burst, then he finished it off with like 7 total WAR in his last 3-4 seasons. The splits make sense in context of his career.

Just found this

Teams have a 86.7% of winning leading by 1 run headed into the 9th, 93.7% when heading into the 9th up by 2, and 97.5% when leading by 3

Rivera’s save rate was 89.1%

Now, there are times he entered the game earlier than the 9th inning, or inherited runners on base etc

But, I honestly am having a hard time figuring out how this isn’t laughable how much we valued him

I'm saying...look at Ecks career compared to Mariano.

Eck was a fricking 20 game winner as a full time pitcher before going to the bullpen where he had insane save numbers with the lowest ERA in history. And he was 83%.

Mariano deserves to be in the Hall obviously but this is NY media bullshite.

Congrats to these Hall of Fame players, they all deserved it. Glad to see someone finally break 100%.

Mariano Rivera is the only player on that list who deserves to be in the HOF. Bonds and Clemens were the only other one’s who got votes that deserve to be in. Let’s keep making it a Hall of Pretty Good. What a joke.

Good class but when I watched Mussina and Edgar I never thought I was watching a HOFer

Very good players
