re: MLB 8/1-8/7: Trade Deadline Tuesday

I have seen the Brewers AA team a few times over the years, they never seem to be talented or good, but then again I got spoiled on the Royals AA when they had Perez, Moose, Hosmer, JohnnyG, etc. That NWA nats team for couple of years was dynamite. it was actually the core of them winning WS and getting to another, along with some pitching they bought.

Hader is on the downward track.
quote:
Hader, 28, is sitting on a career-worst 4.24 ERA, though that mark was inflated by an uncharacteristic pair of consecutive meltdowns earlier this month, wherein he was tagged for a staggering nine earned runs in one-third of an inning. Outside that pair of disastrous outings, Hader has a 1.87 ERA in 33 2/3 innings. He didn’t even allow a run this season until June 7 and has punched out a massive 41.8% of his opponents against an 8.5% walk rate.

For Montas and Trivino, Yankees parted with Sears, Waldichuk, Bowman and Medina.

Mo, do something.
Was just coming in to say the same…pitching IMO is tapped out (I’ve hearing Odorizzi :eyeroll: ) and I’m not sure how I feel about selling the farm for Soto when they still need PITCHING

Big deal and Ray's will DFA Brett Phillips

LOL at padres deal
Hader has been used and abused by Milwaukee coaches. I'll wager his era, which is 4.00ish, will go up, even in that pitchers park. He's going to be on fumes again to end the season.
And on another note, i wouldn't be shocked to see Montas on IR with season ending injury in a week or 2.

Of the 16 relievers with 15+ saves this year, Hader has the second lowest innings total. The Padres closer that the Brewers took back has thrown 7 more innings than Hader.

It feels like he was used more as a high leverage swing man for multiple inning outings in the past, a la Andrew Miller (Who was elite and then absolutely dove off a cliff)

Chayce McDermott (Astros #12 on mlb) also going to Tampa.

And all the homers he's given up.
