Mets getting DeGrom back, wonder how they handle his workload moving forward

Better to pitch him tomorrow and then give him a week off IMO

Pirates won't be moving Reynolds
The Phillies refuse to trade any of their top 5 prospects
Soto is nothing but smoke

Cubs must be asking for something ridiculous for Willson Contreras as a rental

I know in an interview he said he wished these 48 hours were over. Seems he is ready to know if he is staying or where he is going.

An All Star catcher is very valuable, but he’s not catching every game at this point and the market for a catcher is only so big. I guess the Dodgers could get him but they have Smith. Braves have a good platoon. Yankees seem happy with what they have but maybe? Astros and Mets are the teams with a clear need and the ability to get him, Mariners could be a fit but after the Castillo trade idk what they have left.

Guardians are looking for catching help as well but I don't see them making a move, I guess the Twins could use help at catcher with Jeffers and Sanchez not doing much

The Mets are very interested in him they just do not want to give up a top prospect for someone who they have no intention of trying to re-sign after the season. He would be a true rental for us.

I keep seeing the Dodgers "aggressively" going after Soto.
I wonder how that will play for the offseason... Lux, Carrara, Miller and others would see part of the deal.
T. Turner, Kimbrel, Kershaw, Price, Heaney, Anderson are free agents, Muncy, J. Turner, Hudson, Duffy have options that probably get declined.
Walker Buehler needs an extension
However Soto, Betts, Freeman are all fantastic players with Smith, Bellinger..... who else fill out the roster next year?
