Not sure about that particular series, but Boston had a scheduled five game series earlier this year against Baltimore due to the season starting a little bit later than it was supposed to.

I think there was a rainout from a previous series.

With the new look for the Padres? I would say so. Thankfully you can watch the meat of both without flipping back and forth

I watched them beat and then lose to the Rockies, not much has changed

What a game!

Cards with 2 in the 8th off Holmes and Helsley closes the door in the 9th getting Judge and Carpenter.

4-3 STL takes game 1.

Same old Padres. Down 8-0 in the 5th to the Dodgers

The Padres made a block buster trade and that should be enough to help them make the playoff. I am glad that St. Louis passed on getting that one player that probably would've hurt the Cardinals. Cardinals did get 2 starters and that didn't cost the Cardinals the farm.

Settle down the Padres just made the trade. I’d give them more than a few days to pass judgement on them

I am betting Padres will fall out down the stretch. Might make the Wildcard but that isn't going to get to the next round into the playoff. St. Louis has a much better chance to win the division. That is a lock and safer route, and I am glad St. Louis Cardinals front office passed on trading for Soto. Cardinals needs pitchers. and got 2 of them and I think those two can be a huge help to win the NL Central division.

Holmes is broken currently
Yankees have been a below .500 team since the start of July
Nestor at least has bounced back after some rough starts in June/July

Entering July 9th, the Yankees were 61-0 when leading in the 8th inning or later, their longest streak to start the season in franchise history.

Since then? They are 9-4 when leading in the 8th inning or later.

Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw finds himself on the IL again. Over the first 8 seasons of his career, he made only one trip to the injured list. Since 2016, Kershaw has now gone on the injured list 10 times.

Kershaw seems like the oldest 34 year old ever.

I mean the dude has pitched a lot and doesn't look like he has the body type of a Verlander or Max.... hell Greinke turned into a finesse pitcher while Kershaw still pumps it up to 94+
