That's great and all but you people need to really get your arguments straight. When LeBron takes the Cavs to the Finals it's a testament to how great he is as a player. When the Heat get blown away in the Finals by the Spurs we shouldn't factor that into LeBron's legacy because championships are, of course, a team stat.

jordan was fortunate enough to have a front office build a team around him (same with duncan). he didn't have to

The put a Finals team around him in Cleveland. They also tried to get Amare and Bosh. Hell maybe LeBron shouldn't have run off Boozer when he got there.

Yea people need to decide which way they want to argue it and stick to one side.

That is literally the single best example of a single player putting a team on his back and advancing in the playoffs. The guy scored 29 of the teams last 30 points in game 5 vs the pistons.

It will and definitely is a factor. I just think the only thing people are arguing is how much.

I can see the point in a limited fashion, though.

LeBron taking the Cavs to the Finals was a great testimony to his abilities because that team was trash.

Losing to the Spurs, especially since he played well, isn't a huge dent to his legacy. At least until we get to the extreme margins, ala "The GOAT argument".

That's where the argument has been since the OP started this thread.

Lebron putting the Heat on his back and carrying them to 4 Finals is an even greater "testimony" than getting the Cavs to a Finals

meh, I disagree with that. That Cavs team was garbage, this Heat team has talent, they just ran up against a superior team. Also, don't forget the EC was dog shite this year.

the Heat minus Lebron would be a .500 team at best

So much shite happen in that offseason, but if you had any history of the game, you'd know it already.

They'd still win 50 games in that shitty EC
