And one of the best post-game interviews

Today I learned Blake Gideon is actually on the current Texas staff.

I forgot how long of a pass this was. I remembered it being like a 5 yard out or something.

Harrell wore out the back shoulder throws on four verticals all drive and all season really. With a receiver like Crabtree it was virtually unstoppable

Legend gets thrown around a lot, but Mike Leach truly is.

I’ve never had a personal connection to him or any school he’s coached, but Leach has been one of my favorites and an absolute joy to watch over the years. Very sad news and may he RIP

Norm Macdonald was the first famous person death that upset me and this the second. Both men had a lot in common.

Both throwbacks
Always the smartest person in the room
Both got fired over bull shite
Both did not give a frick what anyone thought
And sadly both gone way too son at 61

Rest in peace coach Leach.

He was just good for college football -period.

A true character the likes of which we probably won’t see come along again.

He never coached at my school but he was definitely a personal favorite for many years. He will be missed.

RIP to the pirate. Continued prayers for his family, his players, friends and the entire Mississippi State community.

My dad and I loved to share clips of Leach interviews with one another. Such a funny guy, and great coach. And based on his interviews, maybe the GOAT life advisor.

Had anyone gotten an alert on their phone from ESPN about Mike Leach passing away? I haven’t. It seems pretty nuts to not send out an alert when an active SEC head football coach suddenly dies.

It was a ballsy call. They were at the 30 in FG range and if Crabtree gets tackled in bounds the game is probably over. They had 1 timeout but Crabtree is fighting to break free with about 3 seconds left at the 6 yard line.
