Depending if it’s career ending or not, a bunch of teams would trade for that contract. 37/ year isn’t bad for a guy that could produce 5 WAR a year as a DH. It’s pretty rare for a CF over 30 to provide positive defensive value, so he should for sure come off CF to RF, if not 1B or DH.

My Ortho Dr who did my shoulder told me this morning regarding Trout it's more of a rib injury than back.

There is zero reason to play him this season. Keep him rested for next year
It's the Angels. There is no reason to play next year either.

No, he'll show up every spring training and play through April to make sure he gets every penny of that $37m through 2030, which is why I have no sympathy for him being on a garbage team like the Angels. He signed that deal, play it out. Nobody is going to trade for that contract and injury history now.

If one had a great career and nobody saw it, or it never translated to wins... did it even happen

Guess that is why no one knows who Ted Williams, Ernie Banks, Roy Halladay among others are....

Second time he’s been hurt this year. Double Jeopardy, so he will be fine.
