Dude was way in over his head. Exit meetings had majority of players threatening transfer if he was retained. New blood in Tallahassee.

Wow. Don’t usually see baseball coaches fired so quickly. 2nd full season and hasn’t missed the postseason. Baseball coaches generally have a lot longer leashes than that

That’s always something to worry about with entrenched longtime head coaches whose sons are on staff. Apparently Bill Snyder was trying to do the same thing with his son at Kansas State and they didn’t bite.

Man, when Sr. stopped actually coaching and made Skip do it while he did—whatever he did—if they’d have just fired him and promoted Skip, how much difference would there be in the 2 programs in the last 30 years?
