Team Irish for me this week. I hope Kelly delivers that sneering, smug Dantonio a cup of STFU.

The game obviously hinges a ton on Maxwell and the jury is out there. I think State's receivers are gonna be OK as long as Lippett is not tipping balls to the other squad. I just don't know enough about ND's QBs other than Touchdown Tommy to figure how they will handle the Sparty D. That creates enough doubt for me to see this as like 28-17 Sparty.

With ND, it will always be that way until its fair and they play ball and aren't treated like they're special (cause they aren't) like everyone else.

I don't know much about the Irish since they're really boring to watch but I was sorta impressed with their score after week 1. But then I saw last weeks score and realized they probably aren't all that good.

Low scoring game. I like MSU to win. Kelly seems to be back to his pass happy ways and patty cake offense. ND does have a strong DL so that will keep them in it.

ND's defense is better than most people believe, IMO.

As good as Bell is, MSU's QB looked awful in week one against an inexperienced Boise secondary.

Haha, I've never heard that radio spot before good stuff. Arky fans should probably listen to this rant.

I should add a personal touch to the 2006 game that led to the Valenti radio meltdown. I'm in the north end zone with my MSU boys. It is freaking sideways rain. Late in the third quarter, Quinn fumbles 2 of 3 snaps and ND has to punt. ND is down 16. Place is going nuts. ND can't even get off a snap. This thing is in the bag and the fourth quarter is going to be a celebration. My buddy, a big 6'5" Nordic fella is wearing fishing waders, stands up and yells "you don't come into Spartan Stadium in a monsoon and come out alive." Almost immediately, the game went the other way.

If Notre Dame wins, we all lose.

This ^ MSU's defense will put them in position to win a lot of games but they have to find more offense besides rushing Bell 40+ times. ND is going to stack the box and try to shut that down. Going to be a great game.
