It was never going to be anything big. This is a different era of CFB. The ncaa doesn't hold the power it once did. People were fooling themselves if they expected Michigan to get hammered lol

I just don't understand the logic of giving Stallions and Harbaugh show causes if you don't really do anything about it.
If you admit the coaching staff knew about it and participated in some capacity, then you have to do something more.
We will see what is said but this seems like an inconsistency (not necessarily surprising given the NCAA doing the investigating)

I mean, $20mil is significant. It would be better if they had their rev share limit decreased for like 3 years, ie the equivalent of the old school scholarship limits.

So does this mean it's not actually a "fine," but it will be assuming they'd actually make the postseason?
Obviously being in the Big10 they probably would make postseason assuming they run the grueling gauntlet of Purdue, Nothwestern, etc., but it reads like it's not actually a fine.

So they suspended a shitty head coach for a couple of games, gave the former head coach who will never coach college anyway some kind of ban, and fined them some money? Should have gave them a bowl ban and let players transfer. Gut the program for a couple of years.

He's 61 years old and back in the NFL. He was likely never coaching in College again anyway
