I mean it seems like you are 100% believing everything the dad is saying without question. Of course he is going to deny everything that Michael alleges. Who has supporting proof to their claims. That's what this will come down to.
Did you expect him to come out and say, "yes I got paid and all of my family got paid from the movie, except Michael. Screw that guy. I never liked him anyways"

I didn’t need the dad to say anything. Use one single iota of common sense here. What did the Tuohys have to gain here? 100 millionaires go through all of this to make a few thousand more dollars? Really?
And the timing of this right before his book almost 20 years later?

That doesn't sound remotely like a logical reason, nor did they address if he got paid for the movie.
