Maybe the greatest soccer player ever is leaving Barcelona. Best team in the world PSG is one of the favorites to sign him. I know there is a soccer board but I dont go over there often.

Yeah that’s pretty wild, I never thought we would have seen Messi leave Barcelona. Wonder where he goes. One of the Manchester teams, PSG, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal? I don’t think Real Madrid is a realistic option.

Not many Champions League titles for PSG to be the best in the world but sure whatever floats your boat

I’m not even a big soccer fan by any means, but this is talking about the best soccer player in the world, and maybe the best ever leaving his team. More Sports Board worthy no doubt. Maybe just a soul Coach O board would satisfy you.

When exactly have they been the best in the world? Definitely not the past two years. Or ever.

Champions league Finals and Semi Finals last 2 years. We were the only team in the world that could take down Bayern but unfortunately we couldnt overcome the injuries to some key players in the semi finals. We are just on a different level than everyone else after the acquisitions we have made this offseason.

Messi leaving Barcelona is basically the equivalent of Michael Jordan leaving the Chicago Bulls in his prime and joining another team. Absurd not to qualify this as MSB news.

Messi is past his prime, but he is still one of the best in the world. I really never thought this day would come.

Craziest thing is that both Messi and Barca want to stay together, and have an agreement, but they can’t fit it into the Fair Play rules aka salary cap for soccer.

Yep. It is a money issue. Barca is in very bad shape financially.

He would have had 25+ assists this season if his teammates didn’t choke

I know, but he isn't 2010-2018 Messi. Age takes its toll even on the greatest of the great. I'm very glad he got his trophy this summer at The Copa.

No one was a PSG fan until about 5 years ago. They are a Qatari oil conglomerate play team.
