So just to recap for the youngins that don't know how the world works.

Over under was set at 9.5, most of the money on the under.

Halfway through the 10th round, Mayweather starts lighting his arse up and the ref stops it.

There's a life lesson in there somewhere.

Bing-fukin-O. And nothing else needs to be said.

I don't really think it showed boxing as dated. I think it just further proved that boxing isnt 2 men fighting. it's 2 men boxing. mma is 2 men fighting.

Agree with sentiment but as a kid I though boxing was 2 men fighting

Mayweather could not last 2 rounds in MMA

What an original thought provoking comment!

the frick? let's see what floyd would do in MMA then

He definitely wouldn't make as much money.

He made more for this fight than all UFC fighters combined did on their last fight.

But boxing is dead.

Thank God Floyd dominated late, because those judges were giving it to him regardless.

Floyd winning 2 of the first 3? WTF?
Connor only landed 26% of punches I know the optics looked good to casual boxing fans, but he got killed man

Why do people get angry when Floyd fights a flawless tactical match and wins easily? The guy fights within the construct of the boxing rules and dominates. Yet just because it isn't the way people want to see a fight go, he sucks.

That was so fun

Boxing looked great.

Conor was impressive.

We all saw it coming and it paid off.

That was so fun.

Conor 26% punches landed.

That's actually pretty damn good against Mayweather.

How are people saying boxing is dead? If boxing is dead, how did they both just walk away with 9 figure paychecks? If money is flowing the sport isn't dead.

It is. But the majority of those were in the first 3 rounds and frankly, FM was letting him punch himself out by design.

because other than being boring, it's basically a style that found edges in the flaws of boxing scoring 20 years ago and now the scoring has been molded into rewarding it. all sports trend to overly defensive, non-aggressive, mistake-avoidance styles. pretty much all sports have taken steps to correct those issues. boxing hasn't

What were the official scorecards?

Also I believe McGregor got 40 and Floyd got 100 million tonight.

There is no doubt that they agreed that the fight wouldn't end with McGergor on his back.

That's the only explanation for Floyd not killing him.

Not really considering how many punches he threw early on. It's like a QB throwing for 400 yards on 60 attempts.

And Floyd let him land a ton early while turtled up.
