The good news is this might mean Ichiro gets to play every day leading off. Closing in on 3000.

I can see MLB adding harsher penalties thanks to union rep Verlander voicing an opinion.

Could we see it get to the point where contracts could be voided for positive test?

Last year is not necessarily a fluke at all. He had a 4.6 WAR. You don't fluke your way into that production.

If you hit .333, then your OBP will be more sufficient. You argued that he does not get on base enough to utilize his speed? His OBP in 2015 was .359.

Also, he had a +101 wRC+ with the Dodgers before his spike in production, so let's not act like he was not effective. I liked the Dodgers move at the time, but I was wrong as Gordon developed into a better player than I thought. It very well may have been due to the steroids, but it is okay to admit it was not the greatest trade.

once again. he hit .333 with a ridiculous babip that he has never had before and still was barely top 40 in OBP in baseball. thats ridiculously bad for someone winning the batting title. miggy won the batting title in the AL and was 3rd in OBP. altuve and morneau won it in 2014. altuve was top 15 and morneau was top 25. miggy and cudyer won in 2013. miggy lead baseball in OBP and cudyer was top 15.

once again. that is his career high when he had a babip that was 40 POINTS higher than his career average. take out last years inflated numbers due to a fluky high babip that he has never been anywhere near throughout his entire career, and his career obp is .302. thats at the best replacement level. that would be good for 120th in all of baseball last year

that isnt great, that means he was 1% better than the absolute average player. that would have him tied at 88 in all of baseball last year, and was tied for 96th in 2014 when he had that wRC+

thats about as average as you can be. and that was supposed to be his "breakout year" at the time

i would absolutely be the first to admit that the dodgers trade backfired on them. i would bitch about it all the time if that was so. but last year was absolutely built on a fluky babip that he has NEVER been near throughout his entire career. his median babip number is .335 and he hit .383 last year. so yea, id be the first one to admit that the trade didnt work out for the dodgers if that was the case. but that just isnt true

February 11th, 2014

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- When Dee Gordon debuted in the Major Leagues in 2011, he weighed 144 pounds. He reported to camp early on Tuesday at an all-time high of 173.

How did he do that?

"I eat six meals a day," he said. "I've done this on my own. I just want to be stronger. I was nervous that it would slow me down, but I played in Puerto Rico and I saw that nothing happened to my speed. That was a relief. And I'm hitting the ball with more authority."

Per a few sources, there may be multiple other players on the same list as Gordon.
