Saints fans have acted like whiny little pansies over this. It will be fun flaming them after their inevitable playoff crash

Yeah, this pass happens the first 15 games, non-issue.

The record game gets all the scrunity.

An ironic threat coming from a Peyton fanboy

I'm a saints fan, but Mr. Brees winless record in road playoff games does not bode well. Seems he has a curse of his own to rid.

Perhaps you guys missed the ESPN article explaining that it was not definitive. An overhead angle shows the ball going forward while the side angle makes it seem like a lateral.

Sports center disagrees

The Payton revenge tour didn't go as planned and is inevitably doomed. It's not really surprising that a change in their collective raison d'etre was in order.

How can the NFL justify not changing this after all the other stat corrections this season?

...would be inconsistent for the purpose of favoritism

As if I already didn't want the saints to win

I think the MSB implosion is a bigger rooting factor for me here

This place will fricking explode if the saints win it all, even moreso if it's against the broncos

If Brees lost the record cause of this all you would hear is they called it a pass in the game so DWI

I think you would be hard pressed to take 200+ yards away from drew based on laterals

Manning passed Drew by 1 yard.

If you care about records this is something that should be cared about.

In recent weeks, Manning has said the touchdown record was more significant because it represented the result of an offense scoring points as it tried to win games. Even Sunday, after he'd set the yardage record, he replied to a question about that mark with: "I don't really have much to say about it, to tell you the truth."

Manning could give two shits about that record

Then why would he leave the game immediately after that play.

I am sure there was an icentive based bouns in that 90 plus million dollar contract of his. Believe me, they care.

It is a lot easier to say "I don't care about that record" to the press then, "I get a 3.5 million dollar bonus if I get the record".
