It amazes me how little people ACTUALLY know about Brees.

Which tells you why he's never in the discussion for greatest ever.

It's always been a Peyton Manning vs. Tom Brady debate. Aaron Rodgers has been inserted in there a few times. But Drew Brees's name hardly ever comes up. I personally think that's a travesty but it's difficult to hype up a guy who has a career record of 131-101 as a QB.

He's also only one of two QBs in the list of Top 10 winningest signal callers to have a winning percentage less than 60% (Fran Tarkenton being the other).

And we have shown you why

His average defensive ranking is worse than Tom Brady's worst ever defense. Think about that

Well if brees had a better d he wouldn't have the counting stats. So can't have it both ways bubba. He's a stat accumulator that's his legacy. Gonna end his career with x straight losing seasons. 5,6 what?

Explain how this makes sense, when Brees averages 37 pass attempts per game, and Brady 35

Where is all the extra accumulation attempts/stats coming from?

If a team is up two tds in the 4th qtr they throw the ball less than they would if they were down two tds. This is novice level stuff bro.

Yet, they are only seperated by 2 pass attempts per game.....

Here this combines them all nice and neat for you in one link..

From 06-15 Brees is only ahead of Bradford and Smith.

Now lets see if you can actually figure out the flaws with that method

I'm guessing no

If Brees had Brady's defense think of all the 4th qtr leads he woulda had.

Now think how that would impact his counting stats.

Damn you're an idiot.

Brees with Brady's d would be sitting out in fourth qtrs bc his team would be up 3-4 scores amirite???

I still don't see why this should penalize or diminish what Brady has accomplished in his career. The average defensive rank for all 51 eventual Super Bowl champions is 6.8.

Offense wins ball games and defense wins championships. This is almost Football 101.

Has Brady been blessed with better defenses throughout his career? For sure. Should that detract from his legacy? No.

You said Brees stats benefit from him throwing the ball more because his team is down

I show you a factual stat showing one throws it 37 times a game, and one 35

Serious question, are you and rolltide purposely saying things that are opposite of fact

true, as evidence by his shitty Defense that you point out.

Who cares how many each throw it each game.. how many times a game brady throws the ball has 0 to do with Brees throwing more passes than he would if he had a better Defense, they are totally unrelated.

And he plays QB just as good as Manning, Brees, or Rodgers does. When you have four QBs who play at a similarly high level there has to be some underlying metric that puts one of them over the top. For better or for worse, most analysts of the game use championships to do that.

Tom Brady, over the course of his career, has led the Patriots to 14 division championships, 11 AFC Championship Game appearances, 7 AFC Championships, 7 Super Bowl appearances, and 5 Super Bowl championships - with 4 Super Bowl MVPs as icing on top.

He also is 3 games from becoming the all-time winningest QB in NFL history while winning almost 78% of his games in the process. Team accomplishments or no, that is how you separate a group of players who play close to the same level.

I don't care if you disagree with me or not, fact of the matter is, you all are pretty much in the minority.

Just link him the poll of 36000 votes that has Brady #1 and Peyton #5.

And I am simply saying that doesn't make sense. No more, no less.

Brady absolutely is an all timer. Not once have you even asked where I rank him
