Brady, Brees, Rodgers were spectacular in their prime. They are old.

Peyton is retired.

He is awesome, but don’t discount the guys that brought about these offenses.

No one is discounting them.

Mahomes does things in his prime that those dudes couldn't do in their prime

I’ll declare that after he puts together a 10 year stretch similar to the real GOAT did from 1986 to 1995.

you watch them and you wonder why other teams can't do the exact same thing

Because they have interchangeable WR and they all can run. Even without Mahomes they’d be a playoff team. I mean look at what Smith did in this offense without all the WR they have now.

Mahomes is better than them, and that's not taking anything away from Bo or LT.

Disagree. LT was a freak of nature that could've played in any era. Belichick has said multiple times before that he's in a class of his own.

If Mahomes can go on all-night benders and still perform on Sundays with little sleep, then he might have an argument.

The best player in NFL has to be Rice, LT, or Baugh.

Rice was voted by writers.
Offenses were created to contain LT
Baugh led league in punting, throwing yards, TD, interceptions in a season during his career.

He’s like 30
Even in that, who else could he have seen in his prime that you could argue is better?
LT? Retired in 93, this guy was what 3?
Montana? Retired in 94
Bo Jackson? Retired in 90

Some of you people acting like this guy is a teenager

It’s really not that much of a crazy statement to make, especially when people are throwing names out there that he wasn’t alive to see

Idk but he's got a damn good argument. He makes ridiculous plays look so routine.

Put prime Marino on this Chiefs team in this day and age and he'd easily be the goat

Why?

What was Marino significantly better at compared to Mahomes?

Yes, I understand that stats he put up, but why do you think Mahomes couldn't do the same thing in that scenario?

I guess you really mean for you, which is fine. I thought you meant GOAT or something.

Probably a lot are overall better but some of that is time as well as talent. It takes more than 2-3 good years to reach any sort of ever conversation. Ever implies longevity as well as talent.

Rice
Montana
LT
Baugh
Sanders
Smith
Brady
Manning
Brown

And that is just off the top of my head, probably a bunch more.

Is he a dynamic player, yes. Is he very good, and probably at the top of his game right now (well, other than Brady) yeah. He's a great player.

But also.
How old were you when Marino retired? 9? And even that, the last couple years of his career were not great.

I kind of want to see him without Hill and Kelcie, but he's looked damn good so far in his career.

Hill, especially. That guy opens up so much for the rest of their offense.

But yea, Mahomes is just on a whole different level.

Better release but hard to compare eras. I’d take Marino over Mahomes if I ran a different offense but for KC you take Mahomes

I’m old I know but if I need 1 QB to win a game I’m still taking Montana he was able to run throw on the run had a great deep ball. He didn’t have the +++ heater of Marino or Mahomes

There’s 4 games people should watch to see how great Montana was

SB XIX
KC Denver MNF Comeback game
KC Houston Divisional game
The Denver Super Bowl

The drive vs Cincy in Miami was a masterpiece also.
