PGA tour made 1.5 billion in 2021...distributed 838 million. Dumbass

I googled. that was projected for 2021. the other info says 1.1 bil a yr in revenue. Meanwhile LIV tour is backed with Saudi Public investment fund worth 612 billion.

Ahh. So you don’t know. You were citing estimates by third parties. You didn’t know the PGA refused to let it’s players know what it’s revenues are. Dumbass.

What is the relevance with regards to our conversation about pga and transparency?

Nothing magical about being in the first year of a new 10 year tv contract.

The deal will value the total package of rights at about $700 million per year, more than a 70 percent increase over the PGA’s prior rights agreement, said one of the people, who asked not to be named because the discussions are private.

You are exactly correct. New money is starting to flow in from new contract, so yes it is ‘magically’ being found according to some geniuses in this thread.

Is LIV publishing what they are paying players to come outside of the purses? Or are they too refusing to let players know the potential revenue?

New TV contract money.

You all do know the PGA is a non-profit and 6 seats on the board are occupied by players and the players also have a representative committee. It's a player's member tour.

Some of you act like the PGA is owned by an individual.

That'd be cool if salary was the only compensation

Where is the LIV transparency?

Also, the players have representatives. One of the players is even treasurer for the board…….They absolutely have the means to see the numbers and money

Don’t listen to Phil

Anyone saying the players aren't compensated well on the PGA tour are idiots. And PGA isn't funded by Saudi or China...maybe why you are having comprehension problems?

Link? Why should they have to anyway? If the PGA was making 10 billion a year in profit why does that matter?

Is there a percentage of total the total revenue the PGA makes that they should give back to the players? if so what percentage and who the hell are you to determine that percentage dumbass

You serious Clark? It’s the basis of the complaints players have had for years which led to LIV seizing this opportunity.

They don’t have to. They haven’t been. And now they are whining about LIV.

I don’t think anyone has made that claim. But you are beating the hell out of that strawman.

Why do you need to see them?

Just how many non-publicly traded companies or entities do you get access to their books?

It’s ridiculous. As ridiculous as hounding trump for his tax returns

well wtf are they crying about? This tour has been the best tour for golf for years and all of a sudden the Saudis want to throw $ that the tour can't match at the players and ppl are upset the tour is holding them to their contracts and punishing them for playing LIV. If they want to play LIV they can but they can't remain with the PGA. Most companies have non compete clauses.
