I haven't paid a much attention to this so can you please correct my timeline on this

AD demands trade
Magic like an idiot tries to get AD even though it makes the Lakers look worse than they already do
Klutch and James start leaking things
Pelicans fight back releasing the trade options
LBJ quits on team through feigning injury and Lakers claim needs rest Ichabod Crane does nothing about it after forcing NOP to play Davis
GM and Magic meet last week, no word given
Jeanne and Magic meet this weekend, no indication given
Magic goes off the reservation and quits pregame no warning and throws everyone under the bus but himself
Media starts praising him last night
Today apparently Woj just dropped Magic was worse than Phil Jackson as a Ops guy, where he did not try to even make Lakers better except by just using his name

That’s most of it.

It leaves out the setup where Magic and Pelinka did a bunch of stupid shite such as stretching Deng’s contract without having someone immediately lined up to take the spot created by getting rid of him.

They are eating about $5m per season for about 5 years because they were impatient to get Deng out.

Edit - The timeline on the stories about Magic hitting are off.

They started yesterday, with a bunch of comments about Magic being an absentee employee who would basically show up, throw around some diktats, then disappear for a month. Magic got out later that night, now the rest of the stories are hitting.

When criticizing Magic, why is everyone seemingly ignoring the fact that the reason Rondo and Lance Stephenson were brought in was because Lebron wanted to play off the ball?

I don’t get it. lebron told the lakers who to target and signed off on the list they supplied him with.

Because “LeBron wanting to play off ball” was just after the fact white washing of terrible signings by the Lakers FO

Newest wrinkle - Jeannie Buss is hesitant to hire several proposed coaches because of the perception it gives that LeBron runs the team.

I wouldn’t hire Tyronne Lue or Mark Jackson either but the number of coaches willing to work with LeBron has to be pretty damn slim these days.

I think they should bring in David Griffin but definitely don't hire Lue. Dude looked clueless on the sidelines. Just did what Lebron wanted.

Has anyone pitched the idea of Thibs coming? I know Minnesota didn't work out but he's a good coach who can get a team to play good defense. LeBron with a bunch of 3 and D guys can win a ton of games.

Thibs? That’s not going to go over well with anyone involved.

He couldn’t handle Jimmy Butler in Minny. How the frick is he going to handle LeBron?

That’s on top of him being a hard nosed defensive coach who expects his starters to put in lots of minutes. LeBron intended for LA to be him coasting for the last few years of his career, not running the remaining tread off his tires by playing 40 minutes a night.

Do you think it's a good look for your President of Basketball Ops to step down after a year (or 2, whatever it was), and to throw his GM under the bus on the way out? Are the Lakers better without Magic? Yes. Is it still a fricking dumpster fire the way it all occurred? Also yes.

magic out is only a positive. you can spin it in several ways though but he clearly sucked arse and was a lazy pile like I said. this was proven to us all

also proof was given that LeBron had nothing to do with magic.
