The vets brought in on one year deals were done with LeBron’s blessing because he wanted playmakers instead of shooters.

The shitshow AD negotiations backfired so spectacularly for him because Klutch was leaking the talks and everyone knows it. Jeannie Buss threatened to trade LeBron’s arse over it.

Borderline tard?

Bitch is going full retard based on all the media leaks we’ve seen this season.

The highlight of it has to be her threatening to go scorched earth on Steve Ballmer for trying to open a new coliseum for the Clippers to play at.

Woj

quote:

"The Lakers are still the most attractive front office position, maybe in all of professional sports. This is still a place you can win big. They can go and get any executive they want in the league. One name that you're going to hear, Bob Myers in Golden State. This is the man who built the dynasty with The Warriors. Jeanie Buss' first call probably should be up north in California to see if she can pry him loose."

quote:

“The Lakers right now, as they were previously constituted with Magic Johnson at the top, they were not a front runner for any top Free Agent. So they have time here to try to put this back together and put a figure head at the top of that organization that can get them back in."

Klutch was releasing the talks that AD wanted out and wanted to go to the Lakers.

The Pels were definitely the ones releasing all the offers the Lakers were throwing at them with no intentions of ever making a trade with them. To make the young Lakers talent basically implode and it worked spectacularly. Magic was just too dumb to realize it and kept adding more and more shite to the deal when the Pels weren't even making counter offers.

Woj can spin it however he likes but wall to wall dysfunction like they have isn’t going to be fixed simply within 3 months by hiring a new POBO and possibly a new GM.

They will have a better chance of signing FAs with a new POBO but that’s just taking the chances from 0% to a very small non-zero percentage, as they need to fix the locker room and that simply can’t be done if you have LeBron on one side and all the young guys like Ingram. Lonzo, Kuzma, etc on the other.

That locker room doesn’t start healing until AD moves somewhere and the looming threat of a trade disappears, in addition to LeBron checking his attitude.

A quote from Magic last night....

"Tomorrow, I would have to affect somebody's livelihood and their life. And I thought about that, and I said, That's not fun for me. That's not who I am."

Sounds like he was in charge of firing everyone and just couldn't handle it. The stories that will leak over the coming weeks will be glorious.

I think Klutch was leaking a lot of shite for one simple reason.

The only people on the roster NOT named in talks were Klutch clients like KCP, who had a $10m expiring contract.

Taking a $10m player off the table when you are trying to match money to bring in a guy on a $25m+ deal, and possibly Hill on his $12m+ deal, eliminates a lot of possible combinations that could be done.

Do I think it’s impossible the Pels were the one behind all the leaks? No. But a number of people sure suspected that Klutch was behind some or all of them, including Jeannie Buss.

That certainly didn’t mean Luke Walton because the axe has been hanging over him for quite a while now.

I’m wondering if he was told to fire the medical staff he brought in considering they failed so spectacularly this season.

He apparently hired some celebrity trainers who had no history of sports medicine or working specifically with basketball players and that likely contributed to the mishandling of a lot of their injury diagnoses this year. Which frankly is a familiar story to Pels fans given the shitty Ochsner docs who treated guys like Gordon and Q Pon.

I hadn't heard that. You got a link? After this whole shitshow caused by Lebron and Klutch, if the Lakers traded LBJ away against his wishes I would be so happy.

It amazes me Magic gets universal love, while at the same time he is such a douche. Last night he talks about not liking the backstabbing and whispers, yet is subtly throwing everyone from Pelinka, Jennie and Walton under the bus. This isn't his first time doing this either. Paul Westhead(when he got him fired), George Bush(when he bailed on being HIV spokesman) and Laker players(when he bailed on coaching after 17 games)to name a few.
