This myth has already been disproven. If this were the case, she’d be pulling these numbers every game. Discounting the viewers that LSU & Reese ALSO brought to this game is hilarious. LSU is a national BRAND. Iowa is a landmass with corn.

Iowa Colorado had 6.9 million
LSU UCLA had 3.8 million

Iowa has had the highest ranked womens games on seven different networks now one of which involved LSU. You tell me which school was mostly responsible for this newest record?

I’m curious to see what uconn/Iowa pulls. Bueckers is a bigger name than Reese

Laughable considering Reese has almost 3 times the IG followers as Bueckers. Bigger name doesn't have anything to do with play on the court. Angel is much more known.

So why did LSU and UCLA have about 1/2 as many viewers as Iowa and Colorado had? Hell Iowa and WV had a million more viewers than LSU and UCLA had.

This women's Elite Eight was the most watched on record, ESPN said.

12.3 million watched Iowa-LSU
6.7 million watched USC-UConn
3.1 million watched Oregon State-South Carolina
2.5 million watched NC State-Texas

Giving this Elite Eight four of the round's five most-watched games on record.

Those are still some solidly impressive numbers across the board. Hell, 2.5 mill is what you'd expect to see for a NC State v Texas matchup in football.

Caitlin Clark and LSU basketball may be singlehandedly changing the landscape for women's basketball. If by any chance Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese were to face off in the WNBA finals, I think that would do some very serious numbers as well. The WNBA may need to fix some games in order to make that matchup happen.

Your state has the most welfare recipients in the entire country and a very high violent crime rate. Congrats on thinking you are better than corn.

My mom asked me when they play. I don't know and don't care. Might watch Iowa vs South Carolina, but not if the Pelicans, Rangers, Stars or Mavs are playing at the same time. Might as well add in the Celtics, Bucks and T'Wolves too. LSU is out, and so am I.

Damn they pulled in 12 mill? I better not hear the The Rant say that College Baseball is bigger than WCBB.

Iowa and UCOnn is now the highest rated womens game of all time. They got a 14.2 with a peak of 17 million. Guessing todays game clears 20 million. And here I thought LSU was the reason for the high ratings on Monday night.
