Tulane = the DEI hire of college football playoffs.
"No, man, we totally deserve to be there! So what that we had the 75th most difficult strength of schedule? Who cares about that shitty statistics. Those were used like the slave owners used chains. To hold us back."
Not surprising a DEI school like Tulane would the DEI team in playoffs.
Perfect.

having a saints username and talking about other teams being embarrassed is hilarious

Actually, they didn't. What they did was win a conference championship that has no ties to the playoffs thus being rewarded with a spot due to subjective circumstances
What? How does their championship have "no ties to the playoffs" when they're literally in the playoffs from winning the championship?
This whole system is subjective. If BYU had golden domes for helmets, they would have been safely in the CFP the last two years.

Tulane has beat the same number of currently ranked top 25 teams as Indiana.
And I am not trying to defend Tulane with that statement.

Lsu and tulane supporter here. Most Louisiana folks i know have been enjoying tulane the past few years. Shows how much a great coach can make an impact. 2 coaches back to back maintaining that level is impressive. I hope they keep it rolling

Get the jabs in now. Lane train about to depart

We agree. That's why we fired our coach.

Tulane also can get in as a 21 seed in other polls LSU can’t. Easy road, they will exit early.

Tulane in over Miami, Vandy, Texas, etc is an embarrassment and needs to be fixed.
Miami - couldn’t even make their own conference championship over Duke, who Tulane beat in Sept
Texas - worked by Florida who lost at home to AAC USF, a 2 loss team that didn’t even make AAC Championship
Vandy - lost to Texas (see above), no wins against team currently ranked

Alot of butthurt in this thread. I guess when you can’t beat Vanderbilt anymore you gotta hate on the little brothers in your state.
Let’s see if the $91 Million guy can do what the $54 Million one couldn’t. What was Tulane’s
Coaches salary?

Tulane made the playoffs before the big powerhouse of louisiana

The same can be said of all 12 teams in the playoffs. Or at least seven of them sans the power five championship winners.

Surely you don’t believe Tulane can line up tomorrow and beat any of those teams.

I would like Tulane’s chances against any of them, especially Miami or Texas.

For the money spent on Tulane’s program it’s safe to say the Green Wave NIL donors are getting their money’s worth. No one is saying Tulane would be winning the SEC, but dollar for dollar you gotta be happy supporting that program.
Congrats Tulane!

Did Tulane play 5 top ten teams? With 4 of those teams being away? With average coaching we would have won 3 of those games and ended up 10 - 2.
Get out of here with that crap.

Bro I’m an LSU fan, but you can’t be serious counting Clemson in this example

1) LSU made the playoffs long before Tulane did
2) Never been more proud to be an LSU fan. Geaux Tiger all day every day. Sorry you're an insecure loser.

CFP aside LSU should be embarrassed that it has not yet shown it can compete in the NIL era meanwhile Tulane is likely going to the CFP with a coach it was just paying $1 million not to mention a NY6 win a couple years ago.
