This year? Yes
Over the course of 5 or 10 years? No

I'll say this though. I would take the atmosphere at the Tigue over the atmosphere at Alex Box any day of the week, regardless of quality of Cajun team. It is exciting to have a team doing this well this year and I am enjoying the hell out of it.

LSU's SOS is in the high 70s right now. Cajuns is right near 100. It's not an earth shattering distance number wise. I'm sorry but the whole SOS argument goes out the window when said team is dominating their schedule. It's not like we are 24-14 and are saying we are hot shite. We are 34-4... and have dominated our mediocre schedule. What else do you want us to do? I mean you can only play the games on your schedule.

No man. I was saying that we play a tougher schedule.....

Talk about having to spell things out...

It's all good. I was just being sarcastic about the poster he was responding to.

Wow. I... I don't even....

This guy can't be serious. Do you even statistics bro?

Another super relevant quote out of the Cajun fanbase.

ULL: 7 games against top 50, 13 games against top 100.

LSU: 12 games against top 50, 18 games against top 100.

Or do those numbers mean something different?

Yall obviously seem legit this particular year, but let's not act like yall are playing some great schedule. Your SOS is currently 111.

I understand you Lnchbox... you guys did play a fair amount more games against top 50 and top 100 teams. The difference is in the lost column.

No shite. I'm not seeing how my math was off though. We have played almost double top 50 and almost one and a half times top 100. And we have 13 games to go against top 50, can yall say that?

I don't really aim this at you. It was more for the guys acting like our schedules were remotely similar.

Both of our OOC SOS was fairly similar. But our conference SOS is what will hurt us in seeding. I'm not worried though. Regardless of where we are seeded we will see where we stand come post season. Anything can happen then. I still think this UL team is one of the best we have ever fielded.

A lot of what you're saying is right. The problem is you have to say everything with the "you are the little brother, know your place" attitude. Your first post had the statement about playing in the SEC in it. That was the equivalent to "I'm sorry, but..." or "With all due respect..."

To be honest, I'd be very upset with PM at this point. You have a facility that is second to none, the history of the program and the SEC patch on your sleeve and little ole ULL is showing you up in your own state.

From what I've seen, ULL is a very good baseball team.

But lets come back to this in a few weeks.

ULL is going to play against ZERO teams in the current top 50 RPI rankings and only one team in the top 95 RPI. They play 3 more series against teams that are outside of the top 125 in RPI.

I would hope they could continue to win 90% of their games. ULL likely wont even finish in the top 125 in SOS.

LSU plays 3 more series against RPI top 25 teams and 1 series against a team outside top 50 (#53).
