How in the hell is Lake Charles in any position to host state finals? They should have put that in Lafayette.

Doyline is Class B defending champion, on a 30 something game win streak going back to last season.

Ponchatoula girls are unreal good this year. Have beaten 6 of the top 15 and beat Anchorage Christian this past week who was nationally ranked. Will be a shame if they don't win it all.

Also CO, how are the semi finals going to work? Are they going to place the teams by region? Example, if Ponchy makes it to semi's are they automatically playing in Hammond?

While Lake Chuck doesn't have the facility like the Cajundome, but they've put together a pretty impressive team of countless volunteers and city leaders that help make the tournament run as good as when Lafayette had it with Gerald Hebert.

They just got flattened by multiple hurricanes. That’s what I am talking about.

probably for 1A or B

I’m not even sure why those are separate classes when their schools have the same enrollments

Nah, sucky teams win 36 games in a row all the time

Only played 8 games this year cause Covid cancellations so really not sure but they are solid.
They lost player of the year in Class B last year. Have a sophomore who is ranked #6 player in the state regardless of classification and a junior who is real good. Don't think they'll win state this year but they're a top 5 team in B. Most everyone back for next year will be fun.

literally the only difference between B and 1A is when basketball starts. You take that away and they might all start funding football

Nice.

I knew they were legit last year. I figured they lost some of that talent from that team, though.

I was just wondering if they were one of the best teams in the state, regardless of classification. Seems like they might have been last year.

At the end of last year they would have given anyone fits; this year they are a solid lower classification team with a star with potential to be title contenders next year.
