Big series this weekend for SLU with UConn coming in to the Pat. Will start a 4 game stretch of ranked games (assuming LSU manages to win a game or two this weekend). UConn is supposed to have a pretty solid pitching staff, so should be a good test for an SLU lineup that looks a lot better than last year. SLU leads the nation in stolen bases, so I would expect a lot of small ball tonight and tomorrow, as runs should be at a premium.

Lions win 6-2 after a solid 7 innings by Green. Mike Taylor is the real deal, and will be huge for us hitting in the 4 hole. Wasinger with a big game and some timely hits tonight also.

And we lose to Wright State 8-2. Once again, our bats stayed in the locker room while pitching walked in three batters. It’s gonna be a long year for the Cajun Nation.

SLU have scored a run per inning in the first 5 innings to tie it up at 5 going into the bottom of the 6th. Ugly game so far with each team having 3 errors, and a good bit of wild pitches.

Tulane drops the first two games in Oxford 5-4, and 9-1. Defense was very bad in the second game. Wave tries to avoid the sweep tommorow
