Maybe ,but players like Ingram/ Ball were 20-21 during trade rumors. Kuzma is already 24. Kuz can certainly get in the perfect situation/ play better .
I just don't think anyone believes he's going to have some BI type progression.

I think a lot of people (including me) thought he'd take a step this season. He's just not that good.
His ceiling is probably a solid starter. He's not some future all-star.
