If the LO coach can't get his team warmed up in the same amount of time everyone else does then that's a bitch move on his part. Home team sets the agenda, period. Its a part of the whole home field "advantage" thing. Lack of class and sportsmanship on his part imo. Glad Parkway curb stomped them

If anyone had a lack of class and sportsmanship it's the parkway principal. Having a coach escorted out in handcuffs for trying to warm his team up, is that serious?

I read somewhere else that Parkway's team left the field when asked, but went straight to their practice field to continue warming up - something LO couldn't do. Any truth to that?

Something I forgot to mention is that Tut and the Parkway coach discussed practice time before the game and he had no problem with the LOH team using the LOH band's allotted time since the band had agreed to give it to the team. The Parkway principal and band director said their head coach didn't have the authority to make that decision.

I am pretty sure that you have to offer the visiting team equal practice/warmup time and amenities (water, etc.)

So let me get this straight - Both coaches agreed on whatever time, didn't matter to PW coach bc he was going to their practice field anyway. PW didn't allow LO band to have even time at half so gave them 10 min before the game. LO band guy, obviously going to talk to their own coach, said take the 10 min before game if you want. LO coach said thanks, and was arrested by Parkway's principal.

Not sure, but I think there could be some serious legal action here for a principal on a power trip. At first, reading the OP I was like LO coach must be an idiot, but I think 19 summed it up well.

Supposed to happen. I hope they bury that count in court. False arrest and the cop that she told to arrest him will catch shite too.

The dumbass cop and the principal should have their careers ended over this and pay massive fines.

Could come to that if pushed. LO coach has a legit law suit here.

I think the principal ordering someone removed from school grounds is the same as a store manager wanting someone taken off store property. If that is the case, the cop had no discretion. Not sure why handcuffs were used. The principal is an idiot and should be sued.

Was he ordered to leave the grounds, or just to go outside the white lines?

I do not see the legal issue here. No law was broken. I hope heads roll over this issue.

I don't know any details other than what I read here. I was just comparing a principal's authority on school grounds to a manager and their power to say who may stay on the property and who must leave.

Parkway's football field is not on campus. The new school was built 5 miles from the stadium. There is no practice field there. Parkway went to the field house when asked to leave the field.
