The honeymoon in LA is over. Now he's having "health issues"?

USC coach Lincoln Riley missed the the Trojans' Monday and Tuesday practice due to an undisclosed illness, a university spokesperson told 247Sports. Riley also missed his weekly appearance on the "Trojans Live" radio show Monday. According to the university, he is he working from home under doctor's orders.
Dennis Simmons is running USC practices and speaking to the media in Riley's absence. Simmons normally serves as the team's passing game coordinator, outside receivers coach and assistant head coach. Has worked under Riley since 2015 when both were hired at Oklahoma.
The school is also working with NCAA compliance to bump senior offensive analyst Kilff Kingsbury to a temporary on-field role to help fill in for Riley's absence. Kingsbury was hired by USC following after head coaching tenures with the Arizona Cardinals and at Texas Tech.
The Trojans currently sit at 6-2 after consecutive losses to Notre Dame and Utah. The USC offense ranks No. 3 in the Pac-12 in total offensive yards and second in points behind Oregon, but the lackluster defense has been the redundant story this season. The Trojans are allowing the most rushing yards (164.3) in the Pac-12. They rank No. 8 in the conference yards (407.6) and points (30.5) allowed this season.

Urban got forced out at Ohio State.

I'm not sure the point of missing time right now i don't think he's quitting mid season even if he is gone.
If he was doing that would it be Kingsburry taking over? I remember Urban had Steve Addazio take over in 2010.

Which has nothing to do with Urban citing "health issues" as why he had to step down at Florida once he realized that he lost control of the program.
And even though it was clear why he really stepped down at Ohio State, even then he used the "brain cyst" excuse for why he couldn't coach anymore.

The guy is Charmin soft. Will be surprised if he ever wins any real hardware.

This is a disgusting thread. Something very serious could be happening and you’re accusing him of some really fricked up stuff

All the skuttlebutt is him leaving for NFL.
But what if he is really sick - lets say CW told him he is done for the year and shutting it down - he would have no chance of winning any games left on schedule most likely.
All I know is he tried to burn OU down on the way out the door and I’ll never have any mercy for him.
He got paid millions too. No coach misses practices unless in hospital. They don’t try and name an interim if he is still in charge. He also didn’t allow any players to be available after game and the LA press said it was first time that happened in over 22 years.
What a dumpster fire its turning out to be. CW has no chance at a title and thats a shame based on his talents. Him and his dad put their trust in LR and not only is season toast but his NLF stock has taken a hit.

Maybe Acho told him to make a business decision.

That went to shite a lot quicker than I thought it would. I thought he was gonna turn USC back into a powerhouse. I wonder if the guy really is sick or has serious personal stuff going on.

Maybe he's just sick
Sure it's possible.
Given his track record, and the timing, it does raise questions.

He had a mysterious absence his last season at Oklahoma. I forget the details, but he just disappeared for a couple of days in early November. That’s when the LSU rumors started.
A few weeks later he left for USC.
Deja Vu. The same coach took over during his disappearance at OU.
