Dude why are you still rambling on about CHS? Parkview doesn’t come close to competing with them in athletics, academics, band, choir, drama club, etc.

You could’ve saved yourself a ton of typing if you would have taken a shot at one of the other 300+ schools in the state that is able to take advantage of the rule and is on your level, like St Michael’s, instead of taking a shot at a school that is literally and figuratively out of your league. Then nobody would give a shite about your argument because . . . you would be comparing two schools that nobody gives a shite about. You have whined for 7 pages on a rule that appears to have been changed to your liking this year.

If you want to talk about unfair rules let’s discuss why K-12 schools can have athletes compete at the varsity level while still in Jr High. As others have said many times in this thread maybe you should have done some research and took the proactive steps to ensure your child was eligible to compete as a freshman. Don’t blame the rule instead blame the man in the mirror!

Here is the link to the rule with the change. Can you see anywhere where it says “except for Parkview” or “only for Catholic” anywhere in the original rule or anywhere with the edit?

You sound like you are pretty informed here.

I haven’t been able to find this answer: Did this rule change in January of 2022 or 2023?

I ask because our high school (a Lafayette catholic school) coaches did not tell us until this summer, when it was too late to make a change. Many coaches in our area were unaware of the change to the waiver program for matriculation from any middle school in the diocese. It’s affected several freshmen outside the major sports.

You're an idiot bro. For the hundreth time, Parkview doesnt have feeder schools.
Thats their choice my friend. They had every opportunity to add feeder schools because they lived under the same rule

And to add…Parkview has in the past and probably still has an association with home schooling that allows them to have kids attached to the school that are home schooled. They simply pay a fee..

That’s the ultimate bullshite right there. Sorry homeschool kids but that’s what you choose when you choose to homeschool. They’re having their cake and eating it too

It is more online schooling than home schooling now days. I think they call it their "flex program." Yeah, it is kind of bull shite.

Thank you.

That’s the aspect that is bullshite. They changed the rule in the middle of a school year so families did not have an opportunity to change middle schools if freshman eligibility was important.

I'm surprised there isn’t a lawsuit on this as well.

You still haven’t grasped the concept of “different set of rules” and “not exercising your options under the rule”

Parkview had every right to start “No Dancing Allowed Middle” and “Only Drink Beer When Your Neighbors Aren’t Looking Elementary” if they wanted

I’ll try to make it even simpler

Both teams are allowed to steal bases

Team A steals 5

Team B steals 0 and has a parkview fan that cries saying it’s unfair they have a different set of rules

See how silly that sounds?

well frick since we are just gonna claim stuff

LHSAA changed the rule cause PARKVIEW!!!!! fricking Parkview is ruining everything

why are you worried about this? its really clear from your vocab that you are an uneducated redneck who cant afford to send his kid to any of those schools anyways. it doesn't affect you one bit

you clearly have hard time with critical thinking too. just because PVB failed to take advantage or a rule doesnt mean it was cheating

when PVB was offering every big time athlete in BR area a scholarship.....was that cheating? it wasn't technically against the rules so long as it wasn't recruiting. of course they were recruiting.

nobody from catholic raised a stench about that though because they don't need to

bottom line is you failed to do due diligence and now you have a freshman that's not eligible. that is ok though...because if he is anything like you...he needs this year to get used to academics as its clear critical thinking skills do not run in your family.
