I think the intriguing game of the weekend is American Heritage (Del Ray, Fl.) vs. West Monroe. American Heritage is ranked in the top 50 in the country and has a 5 star and No.2 ranked running back in the nation. They are 7-0 in 3A in Florida (probably more like 4A here) and have won 2 of the last 3 state championships over there. And West Monroe schedules them for homecoming. Want to see what the West Monroe D does against their back....
I will be there, should be a good game.
If AH cannot pass the ball effectively against WM, it will be hard for AH to run the ball against WM. WM's defensive line is huge and they have improved 100% since the first of the year.
WMs LBs are average but get the job done. The DBs are above average. A few injuries here and there, one starting safety will probably be out.
WMs QB is dinged up but will be on go. RB is dinged up as well but should be ready to go but WM has several other RBs that can do the job.
West Monroe wins 24-10.

Burdeaux is above average IMO.

The criticism Jay gets from some of ya'll is ridiculous......
he's a great coach and has great assistants.... but he can be stubborn on offense. It has cost them in the past. The running game has been so dominant, you almost have to work more passing into the offense just on surprise factor alone.

Yes. They have one of their most efficient passing offenses in their history and can also run. Well-balanced offense. QB is not spectactular but is a capable runner and has above average accuracy passing.
Defense has very good team speed and swarms to the ball but is undersized on the line. Pass coverage is above average.
In the playoffs, a team with a power running attack would give them the most trouble.
Other than New Iberia, their competition has not been very strong. But they did win at New Iberia so they are somewhat tested.

This surprises me.
Anyone have an Episcopal score? Slightly related, but I hear Capitol may have to forfeit their games this season (again).
