Ponchatoula probably needs to win out to have a shot at the playoffs. No updates from their game so far.

Indeed. This 3A team, curb stomped St. Aug and Riverside and legit beat Karr. They are curb stomping a legit St. James team. They are probably the 2nd best team in the team in the state no matter the division. Maybe the first. They beat St. Aug worse than Curtis did. Expect them to face U-High in the state finals. U-High looks very good. BTW, they beat U-High for the hoops title last year.

DeLaSalle must giving out Dodge Chargers as part of their aid package. Maybe that give “community aid grants” like St. Paul’s. It is a legitimate way (according to the LHSAA) to help those super athletes in “need”.

I don’t know what they are doing. They do have some legit coaches in wrestling basketball and football. They unseated Bruley high school for the last two years as the most dominant wrestling team in division two. Their basketball team was super legit last year beating both Saint Augustine and Riverside as well as winning the CYO tournament on their way to defeating three-time defending state champion U-High I don’t think they had anyone over 6-5 and no one even made the all-state team. Jesuit flat out discontinued their yearly basketball series. Their football team went undefeated last year with Julien Gumms at quarterback. They lost in the semi finals to Parkview. That team had a couple who got pretty big Division I scholarships. Gumms has been extremely dominant this year. He’s not a big guy. Someone is doing something right that’s for sure
