St Martin's has been gaining ground on Riverside every year that they've played since Berry got there. I'm interested to see how the game plays out this year. Berry is a game changer, but you have to think Riverside will try to negate/minimize his impact at all costs, like every team does, but Riverside probably has depth and coaching on their side. Tough task for Berry, but he's so special that it may not matter.

Riverside also has a stud RB that not many have been able to stop this year.
Elijah Davis who is committed to UL.
District Championship for that district this Friday with Riverside vs St.Martins.

Southern Lab lost last week to Dunham(#3 in Div. 3 select). OCHS lost to Ouachita Parish(5A).
No shame in either of those losses. They will both be ranked again in a couple of weeks.

They had to forfeit all their wins
Gotcha. Well someone is going to have a less than favorable first round playoff matchup with them.

If they win out, which tbh most expect them to do.
They'll be 7-3 so they more than likely should get a bye at the #8 spot probably or be right on the outside of that bye. The issue is going to come in when some other very high seeds get them at home during the quarterfinals.
Would not be happy about that.

have a family member on Zachary who has told me they’ve been flying Holstein to and from Bama for treatment on that shoulder to get him ready.
This is entirely false
He went to bama in a planned recruiting trip soon after he injured his shoulder. Bama team doctor checked him out while he was there. Has not been back since.

WF beat St. Michaels 44-30 last night. WF let 9th graders play most of the game once it was 44-3. Otherwise it's 60+ point win. Big district game next week against Brusly. Pumped up for it.

St. Michael is really, really bad football team this season.

East Jefferson up 14-13.
Chalmette recovered a muffed punt at the 11. Scored and then had the PAT blocked

Yeah they were severely overmatched. They showed some fight in getting a few late TDs. That district is WF, Plaquemine and Brusly in an order TBD and a huge gap. Then maybe Istrouma. Then a huge gap and then the rest of the district. BR area 4A is top heavy.

East Jefferson leads Chalmette 21-13 at the half
Chalmette might have the least imaginative play calling in 5A.
