Rummel needs to get back on track. It’s the worst Rummel defense I’ve probably ever seen.

I have seen them play twice and I know it was only a jamboree but when I left that St Pauls game (which was much closer than the score indicated) I was thinking to myself that wasn't the same Rummel I have been seeing

Just looked at the stat sheet

266 yards of penalties in the Catholic and uhigh game

166 on Catholic and 100 on uhigh

At the game you could feel the refs truly changing the rhythm of the entire game.

CHS’s coach was really stupid for doing the onside kick over and over and over.

I believe those are supposed to be squib kicks since special teams can’t tackle anyone. Also his play calling is terrible.

That was unbelievable. At least do a pooch like pop up kick. Or even kick downfield and out of bounds.

And I felt like their playcalling was questionable. They really controlled both lines of scrimmage. Looking at stat sheet, they were extremely balanced. So I guess that’s good. But it really seemed like they could just March down the field with their running game all game long.

Penalties - I missed the last minute. Thought game was over when UHigh QB threw the puck with 1:40 left in game. I believe when we got in car and listed to end of game, CHS had two big calls against them in last 30 seconds. So, up until that point, UHS had almost 85-100 more yards of penalties called against them So, that explains why it really seemed one sided during the game as I watched it.

Maybe UHS is just undisciplined and those penalties were well deserved . But at same time, it just seemed like the refs weren’t throwing the flag against CHS for a facemask, a PI, clear hold, and one play where the CHS big guy basically punched the UHS in the helmet well after the play and right near the official.

What?l

You are reading the stat sheet backwards

Catholic had 16 penalties called against them for 166 yards

U high had 10 penalties called agaisnt them for 100 yards

So until the last 30 seconds, it was 136 penalty yards against Catholic, still more than uhigh……

Bro you have it completed backwards

If you thought the team that got penalized 16 times for 166 yards was getting the favorable treatment you may have had a tad bit of bias

, but this game won’t go away for a few reasons

Not to mention, it still means something to the 40+ crowd and that’s who is in charge now

Bottom line is CHS is NOT championship caliber this year….and this is w/o a ton of injuries. If they end up having KEY players getting injured this season, they don’t have the quality depth to overcome it. My prediction: out by the quarter finals of this years playoff

They are missing their best athlete along with a few other key guys last night including losing a starter on the dline last night. You seem to have this weird obsession of wishing failure on Catholic.

A lot of people don’t know this but the first two football seasons of the Maumus Owls in 1937 and 1938 were played at Holy Cross…

Whoever you are TROLA, I’m an alum, but I do have opinions and sometimes they’re NOT pumping Orange & Black sunshine up this board’s arse. The fact remains that unlike Fertitta’s tenure, this program has not accomplished the championships that he did (legally or illegally). Simoneaux was over his head at CHS - society wise & it remains to be seen if Fuller (a former CHS OC) has way it takes. I can tell you, under Simoneaux, he was anti-2way sports players…which scared away some 2 way athletes. I would hope Fuller is pro-2way.

What’s funny is someone told me who you are and all about you.. so, Why don’t you worry about not being that “guy” at games. I’ll leave it at that but…. every mention of catholic and you are looking to make yourself feel so smart with contrarian views.

Ok CIA who am I? Who is telling you? Doesn’t change the facts presented. CHS is not as good as they have been. Period.

I only saw the one replay but it sure didn’t look like roughing the kicker but OK

It was 100% roughing the kicker but it was a little strange in that CHS player did not make contact on a block attempt but tackled/took-out the kicker after the kick. It was definitely a penalty.
