42-21 Owls, 8:08 left in the 3q... Higgins had 7 guys on the field for the last extra point... And just fumbled another kickoff

We will get skull fricked by Rummel brothers . If anyone watched the game vs Jesuit can tell that our play calling is horrendous and QB is sub PAR

Why the hell is BM playing in the afternoon now? That sucks!

Rummel and BM always play their game on a Saturday afternoon if it's a Rummel home game

Sterlington knocked off Oak Grove 50-42 last night to win district for the first time in 8 years. Congrats to Coach Many and Breen, former WM greats.

Curtis finishes regular season 8-1. Looks to be able to finish #1 in the power rankings.

Here is an interesting article about that.

LINK

quote:

“Regardless of what happens, (the issue) needs to be addressed because it’s not a level playing field,’’ Williams said. “There’s no way a 9-0 school (like Rummel) should be rated behind a 7-1 school (in Curtis).

“It’s just unfair that we have six schools (in the Catholic League) beating the crap out of each other while four other schools are steaming through their district schedules and getting bonus points. I just want to make sure the right thing is done.’’

it is a valid issue and one that should have been common sense months ago... last year when you had 3A and 4A schools combined in the DII bracket the 3A schools weren't getting play up points for 4A opponents.

i don't think seeding matters that much and neither does home field, but it is amateurish for the best teams in the state not to have figured out this was happening in their bracket in like week 3 or 4. if they used kenramsey's power ratings they would have caught it, bc he adds all the play up points before the season even begins. the LHSAA website power ratings don't do that

I can see the argument that Rummel should be in first but honestly if they are second then it's a wash. Those are your two best teams right now. Rummel is clearly the better team, but like I said a two seed will put them in the dome with about as equal of a path.

Watch out if Trey Ragas has a big game. He's a damn good running back.

How do figure that? John Curtis lost to .500 St. Aug team.
