Is anyone else ranked that lost 5 or more games each of the last few seasons?

My point EXACTLY. Polls are mostly based off what teams did last year. Yes, Barbe went 5 and 5, but it was a bunch of juniors finding their way and they peaked at the end of the year. They are seniors now and you will soon find out what I have been saying. The offense added weapons to an already legit squad, and the defense won't win games on their own but will be much better this year. Their play will do the talking and they will be one of the few teams still standing come late November.

yeah STM got moved up to 5A and Barbe is on our regular season schedule this year. their end of the season run last year did not go un-noticed by everyone. they'll be making some noise starting tomorrow for sure.

Trust me, with their offensive line and defense, they're going to do very well.

Write down STMs qb's name. Grayson Hemard, Sophomore and just one of the finest young athletes around. If he plays all year and gets better, his next 2 years will be special. I've heard hes starting this week.

Tremendous baseball guy as well

W1 Teurlings Catholic
W2 Jesuit
W3 @ Catholic BR
W4 @ Acadiana*
W5 Lafayette*
W6 @ New Iberia*
W7 Barbe*
W8 @ Southside*
W9 @ Sam Houston*
W10 Sulphur*

Yeah I probably could have gone up another win or two but they have a chance to start 0-4 and 2-6

Did Iowa lose a lot of starters after their championship or is Barbe this good?

They didn't lose a lot but they lost some including their all time rushing leader.

Their QB is a 4 star safety committed to Texas Tech and he just wildcats the whole time and he looks like Mike Vick.

They have 2 good edge rushers too that would start on 90% of schools in 5A

Great showing by Barbe.

3-5A will be even more interesting.

I tried to warn you guys, but seeing is believing. Barbe ended last year strong, got most everybody back plus added some weapons, I don't see anybody challenging them in non-select 5A until the semi-final round. Don't get me wrong, they would struggle in select 5A, I am talking only non-select. I think STM will be a handful for them when they play later in the season, and their last game is against Southside, who I think will challenge them. I think they beat Acadiana this year. The rest of their schedule is very weak.

agreed. he's been impressive. pretty large role to step into and he's doing great with it. cool thing is he can run. STM hasn't had a run threat from QB position in a while.

Good for Barbe. I’ll be rooting for them this year since they haven’t had a great season in quite awhile. It’s their time.

This is highly inaccurate about him being QB. He is RB and Safety. He gets in occasionally for some wildcat plays, he is used selectively since he plays both sides of the ball. The QB is the same as last years.
