We hated it. Admin and coaches wanted the trophy to “show how hard we worked”
it was pretty cool to visit my grandfathers alma mater with him and see his face when he saw a 51 year old trophy. And him still be pissed they lost

He spoke very highly of Mark on WGNO Friday Night Football last night

I could tell he has a lot of respect for Mark but he also knew he was gonna win.

as someone that missed all but 3 games of my sr year, I thought is was very cool to let a limping sr go take the final snap too.

I don’t think many people noticed that but I surely did.

That is what makes him the GOAT

When I saw that it was pretty cool.

Of course. No need for a trophy for it.

The Olympics still gives out Silver and Bronze medals, too.
Does the entire world have to be Jeopardy or Survivor?

I guess Manale is still a Rummel man at heart..

I think Manale will end up back at Rummel. He still lives right by Rummel and has 6-8 yr old kid coming up.

JC doing what JC does. Congrats to JT. Yes I'm bias, I played for JT and got a ship and got to watch my son get one tonight. Catholic beating Karr was definitely huge for us. Hats off to Bro Mo for fighting and making it there, but it was a very unbalanced bracket and I knew this was won last week. Defense wins championships and Curtis proved that tonight. Go big Blue!

Once karr lost no one was beating JC
Catholic was up 14-3 in the second half and only lost be 3 right? I mean seems like they had a chance

From what I saw in the playoffs, Catholic and karr looked slightly better than Curtis overall. But those three were heads and shoulders above everyone else in the state

JC had better coaching then Catholic and karr though and less mistakes

I thought Roth and Manale weren’t on good terms? Honestly Manale should’ve been the successor to Roth

JC added some wrinkles to Defense, Offense and Special teams after Karr lost. the multiple sets(even empty back) really throw a defense for a loop when they are so focused on dive/keep/pitch and counter. BM and Catholic D lines sold out all games just trying to stop that. JC rolling out different packages on defense and multiple subs was huge in playoffs. LIke shaw in 87after 34-0 loss to aug, that team learned a whole lot after the Karr loss. hence the harware.

It was 14-3 and Curtis was given the ball at the 10 after an INT on a horrific call. Then Catholic fumbled the kickoff at the 10

Look Curtis won so kudos to them. But it was a blown game by Catholic. And before people melt, karr was better than Catholic and similar poor play cost them the week before.

sometimes your opponent doing things you weren't prepared for can have that effect on coaches and players. I see it EVERY year in the post season. JC special teams in playoffs very different than regular season.

They knew they won. No need to run it up and make a local rival look bad.

I give much credit to Coach JT, he could have easily made it look 50-0

The numbers certainly prove that

That young Ruston team I keep seeing this. How young were they exactly? 3 seniors on OL, QB, RB, WR, all of the leading offensive weapons other than the backup RB. Just going off of the broadcast last night. Genuinely asking. How many starters return? Not oh this guy played some, the top 22.

Ruston brings back 11 starters destrehan 10
