Interesting

They’re probably seeing too many schools and websites make their own streams, sell sponsorships, and want a cut of the action… in the world of cord cutting, free streams of good local HS games (think last Thursday night when I was watching Madison Prep-Brother Martin and the end of Neville-Evangel) are an acceptable substitute to paying for the cable channels that college games are on…

What they’ll probably do is show live games and archives of old games at other times, mainly from the state championships, depending on what’s in season.

Will this just be for playoffs? I assume schools would still have the rights to stream their home games.

The release mentioned regular season games too… think the games that used be on CST on Thursday or Friday nights, with Dennis McCain and Rob Musemeche

Yep, I remember those CST games.
I watch the Crescent City Sports game of the week, unless the Brother Martin in-school stream is up and running. I watch that, but mute the sound as those guys make my ears bleed.

RevSports in Ascension Parish is pretty good, as well. I don't always get the games I want, but there's almost always one, somewhere in the state, that I can stream.

This is like 20 years too late, but that's par for the course with most things in our state.

Well the games on CST started in 2004, (one of those that year was a pre-Katrina Chalmette game against Belle Chasse) and before them it was hard to find any games on tv. West Monroe had some in their area, and there were NOLA games on WHNO. There were also a few games on Jefferson Parish educational access network which were primitive by our standards, and Chalmette did the same on their access network

Yes, I remember the CST games. I'm just surprised that high school football TV coverage hasn't really improved in Louisiana since then.

Actually I like Wayde Keiser, if he had a telestrator he'd be awesome. He knows his stuff.

The BM guys are young faculty and they know about as much football as freshmen Mu Alpha Theta members. They sound like those guys in the stands that you move across the stadium to avoid

Maybe for playoffs. But how do they police this? I understand for state baseball playoffs, but the teams are all playing at a handful of locations. But do you actually think they'll be sending people to schools or having someone stalk every FB, Gamechanger, or Youtube account?

All the high schools should LHSAA.

LHSAA needs to cut a deal with FanDuel or DraftKings and have a Louisiana HS football gambling app.

What could go wrong?
