I would much rather have been able to save 10K a year.. it was not an athletic choice.. but an educational and safety choice for us and most others at his school.
I don't disagree, but there is kind of a question of which came first. Kind of a chicken and the egg thing. Are so many of the public schools the way they are because so many average and good students are in the private schools. Or, are those students in the private schools because the public schools are so bad, or is it both?
I always wonder what would happen if the majority of people who have their kids in private school would make the decision to send their kids to public schools and get involved with the school and the community. I think that's the way it is in a large part of the country.
I don't know the answer, but it's something I've long wondered.

Might be one day. The bayou area has fishing teams now and it's really popular.

Heading to the Hahnville/Acadians game this afternoon. I’m hoping for a better result than the last few times we went there in the playoffs.

Safe travels. Will have to listen on the radio unless there is a live stream for it.

Baton Rouge had good public schools with neighborhood support until an idiot judge named Parker decided to bus kids all over the place. At that point the public school system died in Baton Rouge. Olympia Stadium would easily be full for games that involved Lee, Broadmoor, Tara etc.

Something tells me that SJW that sit on the LHSAA exec committee and make up most of the principals would never allow this.

Catholic is a decent team who is over achieving this post season. They'll lose by 10-14 against Curtis but they'll never really be in the game.

Biggest upset of all would be if Catholic new Iberia wins, given Notre dame beat them 37-0 earlier this year.

As a Notre dame guy even I know it's going to be closer than that man
I'm thinking 28-7 ish
Can't give Notre dame defense two weeks to get healthy and prepare.

You could be right and anything can happen in the Dome...BUT if you look at the score and box score CHSNI basically did the same thing to every team they played except for 1...that 1 blew them out...that 1 was ND.
It could be close for sure....but a result similar to 9/22 would not surprise me. Intimidation and confidence could be a factor here. If ND jumps up early and shuts down CHSNI's offense early....the Crowley party in the dome could start early.
