They are lying then. Who wouldn't want an easier shot at a state title?

Why, the public school I went to has won state championships in every class. They voted against the split every time.

Does West Monroe broadcast its games online?
I wanna see if my alma matter can pull the upset.

Look up nfhs and see if the West Monroe game is going to be televised. Seems I paid a small fee last year and got all of the games.

There wouldn’t be a split if it wasn’t for the overwhelming majority of public schools voting for it. A lot of the really good public schools have voted for it every time.

There will always be a segment of jealous public school bureaucrats that hate private schools, or actually like the idea of more state championships.

But the real problem is the handful of select schools that blatantly bend and break the rules. Instead of confronting that problem, the LHSAA has chosen the split.

For anyone looking for a game to watch online, Tioga at South Lafourche should be close. Not the greatest teams by far but should be a competitive matchup.

Broadcast starts at 630 with kickoff at 7.

I love all the streaming games they have these days. Might have to buy me some additional TV's to stream more games next year for the playoffs.

btw, in the power point era since 1999, among all 5A teams, only Southwood, McKinley, Central Lafourche, Bonnabel, and Grace King haven't hosted a state playoff game in any class

the next longest droughts are Natchitoches Central, 2002, Belaire, 2003, Broadmoor, 2003, Hammond, 2004, Chalmette, 2004, West Jefferson, 2004

Chalmette is the only team that can host with a win this week

I keep hearing Shaw went 0-10 and made playoffs but no explanation why. I don't follow high school sports so please fill me in.

Division I in Louisana has a very small number of teams so all the teams in that class make the playoffs. It's one of the many quirks resulting from the split.
