The entire state is now seeing what Div II Select has had to deal with for years. Putting two classes or parts of two classes into one division for playoffs leads to some absolutely absurd situations.
If we are going to stay with the split, we need to get rid of classifications. Instead of 7 classes, we just have 5 divisions (4 for football) and create your districts out of those divisions. Then for playoffs you split each division into select or non-select.
We alreaedy have a number of sports (such as volleyball swimming soccer etc) completely outside of the class system).
And interestingly enough... the entire first round of the Div I volleyball playoffs went chalk... all 16 matches.

Yeah I’ll be the first to admit I had no idea this was going on since the two schools I follow are non select.

No one got shafted worse in the split that select schools in 3A. Jane Griffin had no plan on how to deal with the select side and they just threw some shite on paper at the 23rd hour.

UHigh and Parkview are 3A. STM is 4A. STM may have been 5 A for a short time.
