Madison Prep handled St. James pretty easily last night. Not a big surprise.

Does De LaSalle have a chance in this game? Asking legitimately. My kid plays for Loyola and if we get past VC tonight, we get the winner of this game.

Brother Martin is going to win every game leading to the finals by double digits.

as long as there is no tear gas... i guess that's reserved for HC

When we played at Chalmette in 04, during pregame, some Chalmette students ran on the field, tackled our injured tight end (had two torn ACLs), took our ‘battle flag’, and ran off the field to a waiting truck and took off. Wound up getting our shite back before halftime I think but mannnn were we fired up

Was pretty pissed at the time, but looking back, that’s the kind of shite that makes HS great in my opinion. Meant so much at the time

Y’all were so good that year, our game was broadcast on COX statewide that night, and to this day I’ve NEVER been able to watch it. Collins, Turnage, and Ram Miller are all names that I remember.

That Turnage’s older brother ended up coaching y’all to a state championship in baseball if I remember

But yeah that was one of our last home games before Katrina. I had that taped but I think I taped over it with a VooDoo game

De LaSalle

U high is a very good team but they are not U High from 2 years ago. De La Salle had all those forfeits hence the low seed. But they beat Scotlandville so I think they at least have a chance to beat U High.

But they also lost to Hahnville 14-13. I wasn’t very impressed with them after that game. But, on the field they seemed to be beating everyone else pretty handily.

Zachary (11-0) at 17 East Ascension (6-3)

Look for a dog fight in this one. Two locals rivals, EA plays tough but Zachary starts to pull away late in the 3rd. Zachary

(9 West Monroe (7-3) at 8 Chalmette 8-1

Lots on the line for both teams. Both teams have played a few times in the last few years with the Rebs coming out on top. Owls are looking for that big win.
The Owls run the ole Wing-T offense with a few jet sweeps, play action passes but look for them to throw everything but the kitchen sink at WM.
Maybe a flea-flicker, a swinging gate play, a double reverse, a statue of Liberty play...who knows.

The Owls will play inspired FB and will give WM all they want but the Rebs pull it out. West Monroe

12 Benton at 5 Ruston (9-2)

Ruston wins with a solid run game
quote:

13 Woodlawn (BR) (6-4) at 4 Destrehan (7-0)

Possibly the biggest upset in the making here. Desty is a solid program with tons of speed. Woodlawn has played one the toughest schedules in LA HS this year. Woodlawn in a shocker.

quote:

14 John Ehret (7-2) at 3 Ponchatoula (9-0)

Ole Hank will have the Green Wave rolling this week. Ponchy by a bunch.

quote:

11 Ouachita Parish (8-3) at 27 Denham Springs (6-4)

Upstart Ouachita is going to play hard and has a good shot at winning. If OPHS can play to their strength, DS goes home early. Ouachita

quote:

10 St. Amant (8-2) at 7 Acadiana (9-2)

A sleeper team in St Amant. The Wreckin Rams are hard to beat in the playoffs. If the Gators can play a near perfect game, the Gators win. The Rams are too strong though. Acadiana.

quote:

2 Captain Shreve (10-1) at 18 Parkway (7-4)

Captain Shreve won the game earlier this year and this game will be the same. Captain Shreve

Good luck and safe travels to all.

Gators got the ball first, drove all the way to about their 10 yard line, and Porrier forces a throw into double coverage that gets picked. Have to take advantage of your opportunities. One play later, Acadiana takes it all the way to the house on a run straight up the middle.

Yea Acadiana is tough to beat in the playoffs.

St. Amant does look good though.

Pretty much impossible to beat them come playoff time. It’s unreal how much better they become once the playoffs start.
