Terrebonne was down 42-7 in that game...

So how is Evangel choosing to play in 4A next cycle?

So you disappear after Terrebonne gets killed by Destrehan to only show up again now to say Terrebonne has a shot. I thought you would have learned to just keep your mouth shut this week.

Competed good in what the first quarter? I mean it was 35-7 at half.

LCA’s non District opponents, or the ones they can actually choose to play, went 1-9, 1-9, and 4-5. They beat them 55-0, 56-0, 63-0.

While this is true, it is also true that teams do not want to schedule very good 1-A or 2-A teams if they can help it.

I have been told that coach Faulk has said that LCA tried to schedule a couple of better teams but were unable to get anyone to take them up. That is third hand info, when I manage to talk to Trev it's generally him asking how my son is doing at LSU, not LCA scheduling.

quote:

Like I said, play someone worth a damn and you’ll get a higher seed. There’s no bias in the seeds. It’s simple math.

I also think that the math should take into account things like head to head, I do not know if it does. Does the math take into account a teams injury situation that game? beating a really good team who is lacking their best player, or even two, may not be as impressive as beating them full strength. That is particularly true if the QB is the best player (as happened to LCA last season) or a running back or two (as happened to Ascension Catholic just prior to and in the the state championship last year) I also think winning your district should have some impact but I can understand the other side of that position, since some districts are much tougher than others.

This is not to be dismissive of any win nor to imply the system now isn't pretty good. Just to point out the areas that can be considered. I am OK with how they do it now, it is likely the fairest way to do it.

I am unclear how they determine the power ranking portion for each team. I'm off top look that up.

Wrong.......a school can play up 1,2,3, or 4 classes....it's obvious you don't know what you are talking about either.....

Case in point pbs played up one class last 2 years..

Acadiana’s football team vandalized the DSHS gymnasium last night.

Beat helmets on the basketball court wood floor leaving damaged wood & green paint all over.

Also, they reportedly pulled all of the DSHS boys’ lockerroom gym clothes out of the lockers, put them in the urinals and then peed on them.

It’s not news yet because the DSHS principal is demanding Acadiana pay for damages and is withholding their share of the gate until some kind of restitution is reached. He’s giving them some time to decide what to do.

If this turns out not to be true, you should receive a lifetime ban from tigerdroppings. If it is true, then the responsible parties and coaches in charge should be charged and prosecuted.

Really I’d like to see LCA play up a division and think it is pretty clear that LCA vs southern lab is the championship game and yet it will be a semi rather than a final. Makes it anticlimactic. Oh well.

They'll be 2A next year and in the same district as Notre Dame.

They also have quite a few seniors graduating. Starting QB, Starting WR and CB who is also the backup QB (QB in Playoffs and end of season last year), Starting MLB and defensive team caption/signal caller, and other starting CB, as well their phenomenal kicker/punter.

Still have a lot of good young players, though.

Either way Lakeshore or Neville will have to go through Karr to make it to the dome in all likelihood.

Nobody in 4A is beating Karr at Behrman in the playoffs

Sources on Both sides denying this, while something at dshs was indeed vandalized, it did not happen while the Acadiana players were in there....

Like what happened at another school in BR about 5 years ago, it happened either during the game or once the visiting team left

Anyone that has ever traveled with a team for a playoff game(where they dressed at home team facilities)

Would realize how unlikely it would be for this to be true

Especially a successful program that had just won a game

That is my thinking as well. Not sure why the guy who posted that crap felt compelled to do so other than butthurtness. Posting totally unfounded crap like that should get you banned, IMO.

I cannot remember a post season game in which the area where the visitors dressed was not manned for the entirety of their stay(pregame-game-post game)... also the entrances to said areas are also under video surveillance at nearly every school if not every.

the one i refer to in BR was a game in which the HOME team's locker room was left open and accessed by someone and was vandalized and about 20 cell phones taken....

A sprain is a lot better than a broken/fractured bone or torn ligament.

IDK the extent of Cam's sprain. I would hold him out another week if the sprain was bad.

But this is the playoffs and I know the man wants to play, its his last season at West Monroe.

I thought Captain Shreve would have been a competitive game but WM played lights out and it wasn't much of a game.

WM has Ruston at home for the quarter-finals. A district rival who wants to beat WM in the worst way. WM has to come out and play lights out again.

That's also been my experience. Even in non playoff games unless the facility was an older one with little of value where the dressing facilities were.

When I was in H.S. way back when, we went down to Fort Jackson to play against Buras High School. A couple of us had to go back to the locker room, right around kick-off time and caught locals digging in our players' belongings. :(

I saw the LHSAAs website didn’t update the bracket for UHighs opponent in the semi finals. Anyone know who they play?
