Why is ASH playing Select (when their district counterparts are Non-Select)?

AST majority of districts have select and non select

Jennings got a crap draw w that. I’m an Opelousas fan, their game will travel. And if you do slow down Ford, Malveau(sp) can run it and has a better arm than most think.

They fired the coach the wrong coach. They’ve turned into a soft program. It starts with the bow tie wearing principal of the school. The way things are going West Monroe’s glory days are behind them.

Yeah no disrespect to the 1 and 4 seeds but that side of the bracket is tough. I agree also about Opelousas’ game.

51-41 Evangel going into the fourth quarter… the other two games were blowouts so all eyes are on this one

I think ASH is the new toy, still needing another deep playoff run.

How does this ASH team compare to that 2020 team? That team was solid af and Acadiana was lucky to win that game tbh. I agree with the above, the Select division 1 top 4 is going to be some good matchups. I think anyone can beat anyone on any given night with this group. Not gonna lie, I’m kind of worried Acadiana hasn’t played a team worth a shite since the third game of the year. They haven’t had a lot of adversity so I don’t know how they’ll react when they play a team with a pulse.

Captain Shreve gets a stop down 51-48 and has 4 minutes left to tie or win the game… starting at their own 18

EDIT- they throw a pick 6 and it looks like Evangel is going to round 2

oh none intended here either. But the defending champ that played a helluva schedule early in the second round is a bad draw. I could be wrong. I know nothing about Jennings.

They’re better IMO. They’re also not particularly loaded with seniors so they’re not under the “now or never” pressure like 2014 & 2021 Ponchatoula were.

Captain Shreve and Evangel put on another show. Over 100 points score in both matches.

Jennings averages 42 points a game. Haven’t had a loss since week 1. It’s going to be a great game. Jennings offense vs Opelousas defense (one of the best defenses in the state).
