Why is ASH playing Select (when their district counterparts are Non-Select)?

TIA

And they needed 4 4th down conversions to beat West Monroe. The same West Monroe ole boy is swearing sucks and will lose in the first round to finish 5-6.

God I love people.

Even good teams have close games. I still think ASH is the best. It's not super clear-cut like it was for Ponchatoula in 2014 and 2021, but they are.

Rapides parish has open enrollment. That places them in the select division.

Oh no I agree with you. I'm speaking more on the way WM is written off due to 4 road losses to teams with byes.

They're the only open enrollment in the district. Next year there's a real possibility Neville joins them as they're trying to become a Charter School.

ETA: Pineville as well

After that beating WM took to Ruston last week, they are ready to get this offseason started. Parkway by two touchdowns.

They also were on the ropes against 6-4 Opelousas. Did they have someone hurt that game?

Same reason Acadiana does, open enrollment.

Speaking of the Wrecking Rams, I think a lot of people are overlooking them for some reason in the ASH v Karr talks. This Acadiana team has a passing game to go with that defense and rushing attack, and their only loss was by one score in Ruston in week one, and Acadiana is notorious for coming out of the gate slow and getting better every week thereafter. Watching them a few weeks ago against Southside and that team is very solid. I would not be surprised at all to see championship trophy #7 coming to Scott in a few weeks.

Westgate/St. Amant should be a good one. Wonder if Jaboree Antoine will be able to suit up Friday night.

no one hurt. Opelousas just took it to em.

ASH defensive line has improved almost as much as their Offensive line. They found a couple dudes that have played very well to give more depth. Has helped tremendously

I’ve said it for a while, no
One wants the Opelousas team in front of them.

This ASH fan ain’t diminishing Acadiana or Catholic. Both teams look to be heated up. I think it’s a toss up between the top 4 personally. It will come down to who plays best. As it should.

Yeah, I was more talking about this thread. Karr, Acadiana, and Catholic have to be counted every year no matter their seed, but especially when they are all rolling. That is one hell of a bracket this year with those 3 and ASH all rolling.

I think ASH is the new toy, still needing another deep playoff run. Winning 2-5a is a nice coming out party, but plenty of tough games left. Hell Evsngel or Shreve are dangerous in their own right in round 2.

Dies Opelousas or Bastrop have streaming? Opelousas should pummel them into submission by the third quarter.

Caldwell is 1-9 and only win was last week vs Vidalia. They made playoffs and get to go get pummeled at Jena again, which they lost 50-14 2 weeks ago.

Making playoffs use to mean something
