And Karr

I don’t think some realize the level of talent they’re playing with

I remember being 4-5 my junior year and HAD to win that last game to make it to the playoffs.

Then it is a coaching issue and that needs to be addressed in the off season.

Chalmette’s #85. I think that’s about right

St. Michael (6-4) vs. Archbishop Hannan (1-8) may be much closer than people expect. SMHS has a bunch of players injured. Not sure if any are coming back for playoffs. Their defense is what keeps them in games.

Eh, not that simple. Sometimes coaches can only do so much. It's a young team. Next year will tell a lot.

Franklin Parish has one hell of a draw in Nonselect II. It's fun when teams like this get a shot. I've seen some film they're huge and fast.

I would say anyone not on the Lutcher side of that bracket got a good draw. I think sometimes Lutcher gets left out of the discussion of the best teams in the state because their district has been weak the last few years. All they do is go out and hammer the opponent in front of them every week.

Not many teams have more titles in the last two decades… but they usually don’t dominate to win them

U-high? If their appeal fails, there’s going to be a dark horse team from the bottom half of the Select II that sneaks into Semi-Finals.

Or worse, an illegitimate champion. UHigh is loaded with kids just there for football, if lawyers let them in, they’ll win it all.

Select should only be 2 or 3 divisions. If you’re recruiting for academics, why would the school size even matter?

Just like baseball there’s more depth in the nonselect brackets

I think Neville was off for whatever reason against ASH last week.

I was at that game. ASH beat the crap out of Neville. When you're off, you lose by a couple of points, maybe a TD, not by 26 points. ASH was clearly the better team. I don't know if they can take down Karr, but if they play their game, the Trojans will be tough to beat.

I’m not minimizing the ASH effort, I’m a huge supporter, but Neville lost all interest in that game early in the third.

They were out of the game by the half. What impressed me the most about ASH is that their offense isn't all JT Lindsey. Their back up RB is good and they've got two really good receivers in Jimmy Duncan and Alex Fontenot.

Yes they do, but Darius Washington probably leads in receptions/yards. I don’t know that. And Townsend at TE is really good. Very few teams can take it all away. I’m not sure anyone can if the line keeps improving. They are becoming dominant

Again. I am a homer.

Teurlings beat four teams w winning records. Best win Opelousas. STM has two wins against teams with winning records.
