then why did he not include playing up multiple classes?

They wouldnt want to take the chance of Curtis playing in 4a or 5a.

the only way it had any chance of passing was pitting all the classes vs one... which is what happened.. but. from what a couple of principals have told me...

a few curve balls are about to go flying.

Curtis never has and never will play in 5a or whatever the highest class is at the time...their reason being their other sports cant compete at that level which is bs

Off topic a bit, but could you Neville people tell me about Will Watson? Saw he committed to play baseball at USM and was wondering how good he is?

Oh. He has no problems putting up 70 on the Farmervilles and Ferridays of the world, but boo freaking hoo we can't win every 5A title in baseball so we won't go?

I have no affiliation with Curtis whatsoever, but all the butthurt they generate in these kinds of threads is starting to make me a fan of theirs.

I'm not for splitting private/public though

Louisiana used to have a private school association back in the 80's and early 90's call LISA (louisiana independent school association).

I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of their stance. It's like Boise State being invited to join the Pac 10 and turning it down because their women's basketball team team isn't very good.

Pretty easy when they use the following logic:

I lived on Jowers back then. Used to go watch them in the playoffs when WM was sitting at the house.

bollocks..... then why did he not include playing up multiple classes? He knew he would get votes needed by 4a folks wanting to get rid of shaw hc and st aug... in nola.... what he did was create 3a vs all the other classes..... and now some of the folks in cahoots with them in the first place are not happy.. .

You just agreed with me. They have been trying to get a play-up provision passed for years in all different forms. Jesuit and the Catholic League was only concerned with getting those teams back in the same class/district by any means necessary. They weren't thinking about Curtis/Evangel.
