I wouldn't take too much from the investigator. They said the same to WM then laid down suspensions.

Haha..... SL is accusing someone of cheating.

Here's a question.... why tape your practices?

So players and coaches can evaluate the adjustments being made that week?

A user on the kenramsey.com forums has an in-depth timeline of events about this.

Pretty sad. Destrehan is wrecking teams every week. Seems unnecessary. I know some coaches over there and that just doesn't seem like something they would do.

If true Robicheaux needs to be fired. According to players Desty's Qb and a couple other players live in Hahnville's attendance zone, maybe they can look at that too.

Sad thing is SL could not come close to beating Desty once if they played 10 times, no reason to cheat.

Destrehan was up 21-0 in the 1st Qtr...

SL lead 22-21 with 2 minutes before halftime before Destrehan scored again.

The Tarpons competed well for one half atleast.

And were blown out after. Desty miscues gave Tarps two easy scores.

River parish teams are 11-0 vs bayou this year. Only hope for bayou win is SL over the worst Hahnville team in many years

South Lafourche played Destrehan in week 8 of the high school season. Destrehan won 49-24 to remain undefeated. South Lafourche head coach Dennis Skains and his staff thought something was strange about how Destrehan seemed to know everything they were doing, even the new formations and plays they put in for the Destrehan game.

The plot thickens. South Lafourche hada junior player who decided playing football was not his cup of tea and he quit a couple of weeks ago. No damage, happens all the time. The player in question is related to the offensive line coach at Destrehan. No problem, everybody down the bayou is related. Although the player left the team, he still had access to his HUDL account as Dennis Skains failed to remove him from the account once he quit.

Apparently, the family related line coach asked the former Tarpon player for his password to the HUDL account more than once, and was finally given access. During week 8 of the season, prior to the South Lafourche versus Destrehan game, the departed players HUDL account showed 14 hours of activity. Coach Skains not only uses HUDL for game footage, but he uploads practice video for his coaches and players to view.

Skains and his staff put in plays and formations to put Destrehan’s defense in a bind, but that did not happen. The Wildcats were prepared for everything.

Following the game the Tarpon staff felt like something was amiss. They put 2 and 2 together and talked to the departed player. The player admitted he had given access to his HUDL account to his relative, the line coach at Destrehan.

Skains called for LHSAA Executive Director Kenny Henderson but could not make contact. He made contact with assistant director B. J. Guzzardo. Mr. Guzzardo did an investigation. He went to Destrehan and asked head coach Stephen Belichick Robicheaux if he knew anything about the situation. Answer: no. He asked the offensive line coach if he knew anything about the situation. Answer: no. Investigation is over. Phone call from Skains to the LHSAA and the investigation all happened on Monday.

Guzzardo calls Skains and told him Destrehan said they did not do it. Guzzardo says he would take the word of the coach before the departed player’s. Skains questions as to why Guzzardo would not come to South Lafourche to actually do a complete investigation.

South Lafourche has the support of the Superintendent, Principal, AD, and their coaching staff to move forward with their complaint. A lawyer has been secured and there may be litigation. Not too hard to get access to the IP account of the computer(s) who logged in 14 hours of access to the HUDL account of a player who quit weeks ago.

South Lafourche secured the services of an attorney and requested a court order to search the IP addresses gaining access to HUDL through the departed players account. Three (3) separate physical addresses showed up, all geographically located in Luling, Louisiana.

Sounds like Desty is caught. Robicheaux lives near Luling and his OC lives about 6 houses down from me. Not looking good but we are dealing with the LHSAA.

Easy TD's or not, Destrehan was clearly rattled before the first half ended. SL forced several 3 and outs in the second quarter. Isom was getting pressured, even sacked a handful of times, but he's the real deal.

With that said, I'm sure Destrehan did find things they could use while they were snooping around.

Destrehan did win the game but cheating is cheating.

I agree with that. I know many of the staff and admin there, can't say I am really shocked at this.

To add to that, the only way Destrehan could have seen the formations and shifts they saw that night were by seeing the practice video. SL had never run any of the formations or the shifts in any games this season. And yet the DHS defense recalled the run and pass strength correctly all night while running multiple defenders across the field and most of the time being lined up before the offensive players who shifted were.

A buddy of mine said it best, "Destrehan has a loaded team! It was unnecessary. They didn't have to do this to beat anyone before, why start now?"

I've heard the line coach was fired. Of course I don't have a link, so this will probably be removed, but that is what I heard.

The shifts and formations was new to most of us in the crowd.

Which coach? The latest I have heard is that Robicheaux is still insisting that although some of his assistants admitted guilt, he had no knowledge of this taking place.
