Their Football team was 11-0 and lost to OCS in Quarters this year too.

I'm pretty sure in a thread about them that OCS could be a big problem for them down the road

I listened to a little bit of it.
When CCAs catcher got ejected I knew it was over.
CCA had all the momentum before that moment. The catchers brother was evidently pitching and he started pitching pretty erratically.

It didn’t help for sure but OCS also had 14 hits. Have to give them credit.

Absolutely. Definitely not taking anything away from OCS. They seized the opportunity and jumped on CCA with 8 runs in the 2nd.

Rough play at the plate. Look like he had his arms up on the play and it rocked the OCS catcher pretty good. Didnt look as bad on the replay, but I guess he should have tried to avoid the tag instead of running into the catcher.

Welsh loads the bases in bottom of 5th. 1 out.
Mound meeting DQ sticking with their pitcher. 3-1 count. Walks in a run. 1 more run comes in.

DeQuincy puts up 2 in the 6th inning. Welsh goes quietly in the bottom of the inning.

DeQuincy 3
Welsh - 4

Top of 7th
DeQuincy gets a lead off single. Tying run on base. Welsh changes pitcher. 3-1 count single to RF. Runner only advances to 2nd.

Bunt to move the runners, safe at 1st. Bases loaded no outs.
Infield in grounder to 2nd thrown out at home on force.
-Singe to LF. Tying run scores. Go ahead runner is thrown out at home. 2 runners thrown out at home this inning.
Steal of 2nd, runner on 3rd sneaks in for go ahead run.
Fly out.

Welsh has been leading all game now they’re 3 outs from a loss.

DeQuincy 5
Welsh - 4

Small school baseball is the best.

Welsh doesn’t want to lose after giving up the lead.

9 hole flies out
Lead off hitter gets a single
They try to catch DQ slacking with a bunt. It fails. 2 outs I don’t understand why you don’t just steal in Div IV, especially with lead off hitter on base.
The next pitch he steals 3rd.

Down to their last out. Clutch single by the 3-hole ties the game.

Going into extra innings
DeQuincy 5
Welsh - 5

Top of the 8th DeQuincy takes the lead again.
2 walks then a grounder for a double play to end the inning ends up safe at first. Run scores.

Bottom of the 8
Lead off walk
They load the bases
Strike out
Singe to CF. 2 runs score in a walk off.

DeQuincy 6
Welsh 7
Final

Got us twice in the same school year!

That Dartez kid is ridiculous and I’m glad he’s graduating! Haha
