That's because schools like WM had Henry in their back pocket for years...funny how the transfers were greatly reduced once Henry left office

I'm nervous. I also find it funny that a woman principal from Winnfield could destroy Louisiana High School football.

I teach/coach at a public school in north louisiana. I don't understand what all the fuss is about. Why are we running from the private schools. If they are constantly winning the state championships as a competitor don't you want to play the best. I was taught to be the best you have to beat the best. The argument I hear around hear is how unfair it is that evangel/calvary/loyola recruit kids and we can't. Then you look at all the schools in Caddo and most if not all abuse the "magnet program" for athletics. Then you look at Bossier Parish and the two main schools that oppose the calvary/evangels and they abuse the m-m rule for athletics as well. So I don't get it. If a kid wants to go to another school because they feel it is in their best interest then let it be. Lace em' up, work hard to compete, and do your best against the best.

including the motion to eliminate Class C was a stroke of Parliamentary genius. That gave the principals that are split proponents a bargaining chip to trade with the Class C and Class B schools in exchange for their YAY on split for football only

They obviously didn't heed that advice.

So if they are splitting up the boys and girls top 28's does that mean it's going back to it's original format? I wonder where they are going to move them to, or just leave them in Bossier.

Alright I was following this a little on 870 on the way back to the office.
So the Catholic schools and private type of schools will be "select" and the Public schools will be "non-select".
will select and non-select schools be allowed to be in the same districts? How much of a clusterfrick this will be?

Yes. The split would only be for playoffs. The public schools want the private school money; just not their competition.
The last I heard last night was the selects would be in two divisions with the upper division having 32 schools (meaning everyone makes the playoffs)
A lot of the private schools' ADs are already talking about leaving LHSAA. The new system allows LHSAA and the public schools to take money from the privates while regulating them out of competition.

This is going to be such a clusterfrick.. The selects need to bail and call their bluff.
