Le'Veon Bell says he'd retire before playing for Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid

Bell, responding to a comment on Instagram about his time with the Chiefs in 2020, said, "I'd never play for Andy Reid again ... I'd retire first.''

Bell didn't specify his complaint with Reid, the Chiefs' coach.

The Chiefs signed Bell last year after his release from the New York Jets, but he played sparingly. Bell played in nine games, starting two, and rushed for 254 yards and two touchdowns.

By season's end, he wasn't much of a factor for the Chiefs. Despite the absence of injured starter Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Bell got the ball just twice in the Chiefs' divisional round win over the Cleveland Browns.

He was inactive for the AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills, and though he was in uniform, did not play in Super Bowl LV against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Coming from the guy who costed himself millions, I'd say whatever he's saying is a bad idea.

No one cares, Le'Veon. This dude has cried about one thing or another his whole career.

They sure did. Anyone who didn't see his career falling off a cliff is a moron.

I didn’t think it would fall off to the degree it has so quickly though. No I would have never given him what he wanted but he pre hold out he still seemed like he had at least a few good years left

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Bell is the problem. Reid has always been known as a players coach.

Le’Veon Bell is a fricking cancer. It’s like he and Antonio Brown are having a contest to see who can sabotage their own career the fastest and burn the most bridges on the way out.

I agree with Bell.

I will also not play for Andy Reid.

I recall when Bell signed all the local sports radio jocks were pumped thinking Bell would come in and be the next Priest Holmes……uhhh no!

Every time I focused in on Bell he never looked like a RB who wanted to make something happen or hit someone, it’s like he was always waiting for the O Line to open some gaping hole where he could get 5-10 yards before contact.

Yeah, against the team Bell played for. Doesn’t change the fact that they’re both prima-donnas who forced their way off of three separate teams with their shite attitudes.

According to his agent, him retiring will save wear and tear on his body therefore will make him more money.

AB tagged along

The Steelers with Ben, AB, and Bell with Tomlin as coach should have won a SB, but I imagine Bell and AB dragged down that lockerroom

Bell is a shell of his former self. He's saying what he has to say to get another paycheck from whoever takes the bait. Besides diminished skills he seems like a locker room cancer.
